Love this song, especially the use of the electric guitar - great sound.

Desichoro on Thursday, November 16, 2006
40 Years old song and we still enjoy - Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh, Manna Dey,
Hament Kumar - 40 + Years ago - YET they are just as popular as they were
then and will always be. I truly believe that we have lost the MUSIC for
ever...

unforgettable cool soul funk

Lwize on Sunday, January 07, 2007
This is a classic! The dancing reminds me of The Time Warp from Rock Horror
Picture Show.

hotmama455 on Sunday, January 21, 2007
this awesome dance scene is part of this great indian Agatha Christie book adaptation "Gumnaam" (1965), oddly this dance scene has nothing to do with the story but it's an exciting opener! as mentioned before, this scene was used in "Ghost World" (2001), for many western viewers the first experience with flamy dance scenes.

This music is of the DEVIL!

I love this! I remember this from the opening scenes in "Ghost World", but I'm glad I decided to look for it on YouTube. My friend and I have been trying to do the head-shake dance, but I can't manage it for more than five seconds.

With apologies to smodass, the translation is slightly different. Jan
pehchaan ho Jeena aasaan ho Dil ko churaane waalon Ankh na churao, naam to
batao (Let us get acquainted It would make life easier You who steal our
hearts, do not avert your glances Tell us your name)

Rajeev Kumar on Thursday, August 16, 2007
Made me wake up from my sleep when Mark Lamarr played this song in his
programme God'S Jukebox on Radio 2. The girl in golden dress seems to be in
fits.

Rajeev Kumar on Thursday, August 16, 2007
the quality of dope was certainly better in olden days. hahaha

Lwize on Tuesday, August 21, 2007

The bloke in white suit is it Johnny Walker??

creativeinstinct on Thursday, October 11, 2007
India is a country that absorbs all cultures and yet we all manage to stick
to our roots which is the family bond, relationship and family is valued
here. Honestly speaking ask a neutral person whose culture is better UK's
or India's and the reply would certainly not please u sweety! just because
this song is westernised doesn't mean we worship western culture. Another
dumbo from the west it seems!

creativeinstinct on Tuesday, October 16, 2007
wannabe elite is fine but thats not true it's only a minority and every
culture has uncultured people. here is a live example P)

Supes909 on Sunday, November 11, 2007
Sung by the brilliant Mohammed Rafi

madrasbill on Tuesday, November 27, 2007

Pokhton on Wednesday, December 05, 2007
mohammed rafi is the best singer

himat gami on Tuesday, December 25, 2007
Most of Helen's cabaret songs are similar. I am hopeless with Film names
but look for Helen's songs.

enviime on Friday, December 28, 2007
Solla solla ena perumai! youtube it up, you won't regret it.

vindMera on Sunday, December 30, 2007
I am not a fan of RockNRoll but Rafi is amazing. This the same guy who sung "Man Re Tu Kahe Na". What versatility!

jabowman78 on Tuesday, January 01, 2008
Heard this at the Ruby Room in Oakland, CA last night on New Year's Eve.

greenleaf81 on Friday, January 11, 2008
what is the context of Miss Kitty? Who is Helen Khan?
