I am sure many of you share my sentiment when i say I think Dil Se is one of the finest films to come out of India, the acting, directing is brilliant and deep characters really suit actors such as Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala as they are able to emote beautifully but thats to take away nothing from Preity Zinta who is a wonderful actress in her own right. The accompanying soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful, especially this song E Ajnabi which is my personal favourite.

Personally, my fav video in the 90s. I can still remember humming this song in my head..at a point in time when i was heartbroken, this song really touched my heart, very soulful and strongly impacts anyone hearing it. The best song ever the bollywood industry has given birth to..

A.R Rahman at its best!!! Great Song

This is such an amazing movie. It's definitely my favorite movie directed by Mani Ratnam... or any Indian director for that matter. I normally can't stand SRK's "acting", but he's amazing in this, and Manisha Koirala is even better. The music, the cinematography, the dialogues, the story... it's all just so good! I wish Indian filmmakers would understand their own potential for making interesting, good movies like Dil Se and stop making the flimsy, cliched films they are known for.

pak2323 on Saturday, January 10, 2009
omg i luve this song!!!! SRK rocks no matter wat his hatters say he is still the best !!!!

A gem from Rehman.
Based on raga Bhimpalasi (may be used little bit of Pilu as well).

While his caliber must be the same or even better since Dil Se days, we are nowadays deprived from his magnificent melodies which marked his glorious arrival in film music landscape.
Too much rap, hip hop has thrown good classical based songs with sweet melody to back seat, unfortunately.

Dragonlord1571 on Tuesday, February 03, 2009
I know what you mean but that is what the generation likes nowadays sadly. He has to modernize his music otherwise he will lose popularity. But I seriously miss those good old days when Rehman would compose songs such as this

toejoe185 on Sunday, February 08, 2009
you guys are right to some extent, rahman did have slightly better songs at this time (dil se, taal, thakshak), but his new popish songs like behka behkaa in ghajini arent bad at all, they're still terrific

Zoahrulz on Sunday, February 08, 2009
one of the best song from rehman, he is unique. each and every music he has given is so different and better from last tym. he is the best. i love his voice and music. i am so happy that he got global award for slumdog milloinaire.

Yes, that's what makes the song all the more touching, the two complete alternatives...or should I say blend of situations that she has inside her
