The rise of the legend... Kishore Kumar... The one and the only... Simply the best of best...Parrell to None... His voice is for ever... will never fade away...

mahbub2345 on Saturday, October 18, 2008
Himesh reshamaiya is like a computer virus. No quality only loud and sharp voice and melodiless and qualityless shouting. Kishore kumar was and is unique and singular.

Jaibajrang29 on Sunday, November 02, 2008
They don't write songs like these no more, a Classic !!!

hobgoblin707 on Friday, November 07, 2008
the only "romantic" part of this song is in the lyrics. kishore sang it like a purely fun, masti kind of song (which does lead to popularity). there's some nostalgia and longing in the emotions but there's no romance. there's no love in the singing. no tenderness or closeness. i have heard is "pal pal dil ke paas" and maybe "gaata rahe mera dil". the other songs don't capture any romance. kishore was too flamboyant for that. much rather preferred this song in rafi's voice.

BabiiGyul on Wednesday, November 12, 2008
Its old. BUT ITS STILL AMAZING! i just love to put on my hindi clothes and blast this song through out my house while cleaning!!!!!!!

ah ha great. Saw this movie 35 years back in Anand Theatre with my sisters. Fantastic. Remember Sharmila's dimple. Cute Lady ( MAK Pataudi, don't get cheesed off). Fine Lady. Fine Smile. Fine & Fine.
Best Regards,
Hope the lady reads this.
Salaam to one of the QUEENS of Bollywood (sic).

i was thinking this song was the most romantic song ever, untill i read ur post. do u happen u have any cinema sense by the way. u might probably say later that in ur voice it was more preferred LOL

hobgoblin707 on Friday, November 14, 2008
i appreciate your different viewpoint and realize it's a matter of opinion. you're right, having fun is part of romance but directly expressing tender love is just as important if not more as it separates your love for your "sapano ki rani" vs the different kind of love you show for your friends. it needs to be in a romantic song! this song doesn't have enough of it. just all fun. you had to infer the love but it isn't directly in this song. all my opinion.

hobgoblin707 on Friday, November 14, 2008
cont'd: my ideal romantic: "main kahin kavi na banjao". it is more full and complete with the variety of emotions: teasing fun, tongue and cheek humor, devotion, love! everything that romance is about. in comparison, "mere sapano ki rani" is too unvaried and monotonous with only one emotion that captures just "part" of romance. hey - this is all my opinion. it only matters to me. whatever makes you happy! nevertheless, regardless of how you feel, it was fun hearing your opinion and exchanging.

neocyberkat on Wednesday, November 19, 2008
there's just one word... LEGENDARY

hobgoblin707 on Thursday, November 20, 2008
That's a fascinating remark you make (to which agree btw). Aren't both songs considered romantic? Can you elaborate in detail what the moods are for each song and how they are different? I already gave my answer: one is loving, romantic song while the other is a purely fun song = different moods. I eagerly await your opinion - thanks!

mounika258 on Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Can someone please help me find a song??? I dont know which movie it's from or the name of the song. But it's from an older movie and possibly a wedding song. I only know a few words, hopefully that will be enough for somebody to figure it out and please let me know as I've been looking for a long time. So here it is:
(haath sita ka ram ko diya...dulhe raaja something something ???)
Someone please if you know what this song is, please leave me a message. Thanx!

hobgoblin707 on Thursday, November 27, 2008
2 questions for you: (1) in your ideal romantic song, what emotions should be expressed? (2) in this song, what emotions does the singer directly emote? ; my answer (1) love (aatma), dedication, fun, comforting, intimate voice etc (2) just plain fun and some longing. it is a great song no doubt - i sort of wanted a discussion for the heck of it. nevertheless, i await your opinionated answers to my above two questions. good day!

hobgoblin707 on Sunday, November 30, 2008
i don't wanna talk too much rafi seeing this is a kishore video but one last reply to your tsunami remark. kishore's success in aradhana only helped him it did not hurt anyone. this is something that is often grossly misinterpreted imo. to cut a long post short, take out rafi from the 70s and the industry would be standing on only one leg that being kishore. just as rafi could not replace kishore in the 70s, kishore could not replace rafi in the 70s. such is the impact of these greats!

hobgoblin707 on Sunday, November 30, 2008
the only thing that set rajesh khanna apart from the rest was the *novel* voice of kishore kumar.

aabbs7 on Tuesday, December 02, 2008
rajesh khanna songs were heavy, 60s and 70s indian music was the best without doubt.
