Absolute Gem! Devine Lata.

Rmehtacpa on Saturday, May 23, 2009
When young really very young most of them look pretty. And then, make-up,
directed expression, angle of camera all enhenced the look on screen. Don't
get me wrong, after all the inherant natural part of individual face indeed
is a factor. Rm

Let there be no doubt that this tune is one of the greatest in hindi cinema..the best part of the song is the tune and none other than the superb voice of lata could hv brought out the nuances of this wonderful musical composition.this tune resembles that of 'rahen na rahen hum' by the same maestro...these 2 songs together just make my soul dance...i cant put my feelings of appreciation for this song in words.many many thanks for the upload..the lyrics is not so great but.. still superb

ashok kumar, mehmood, vijaya chaudhari etc. lyrics by majrooh sultanpuri

I agree with you 100% but one cannot ignore the third maestro - Sahir
Ludhianavi - whose soulful words bring the message of transcendental
optimism and hope... I believe the beauty in creating this eternally
blissful song is equally shared by all three: Roshan, Sahir, and Lataji...

Dhoor tho hain par dhoor nahin hain..crystallized in one line.what
heights of expression, rendered as usual in Didi's magical
voice...beguilingly picturised!

One of the best songs to listen to when feeling low and sure "kabhi to
milegi baharon ki manzil rahi".

Rmehtacpa on Saturday, June 12, 2010
Pretty good tune of Roshan too well rendered by Lataji.

orientlover1 on Tuesday, June 22, 2010
Meena Kumari in what appears to be the easiest role of her film career. She does not appear to be "acting" at any point during the movie rather homely talk with other characters. Must have been smooth sailing for this great actress. Her role in two other movies released the same year (1962) : Main chup rahoongi & Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam were much more complex and emotional. We still miss that great actress after almost four decades of her death

Wonderful & inspiring song. The lyrics as well as the tune make this song
so positive.

I don't know why God made only one LATA !!!!!!!

Anil Nair on Thursday, August 11, 2011
@mymylondon It is not that God made only one Lata. No doubt, Lata was
great. But many talented singers of her era couldn't find a forum or get a
chance to showcase their talents as it is possible now through the many
reality shows on TV. Moreover, Lata Mangeshkar in particular made sure the
other budding artists were nipped in the bud with the strangle hold she had
on the industry. With all respect to Lata's abilities I can't help
declaring this fact.

Riffat14 on Tuesday, August 30, 2011
yes, she has a divine voice beside very opulent fate.

lata.HER SIMPLICITY IN LOOKS AND DRESS CODE ...MAKES HER UNIQUE..so much
simlicity (inspite of having everything) makes her nearer to ALMIGHTY..3
cheers for her.there is no way another voice can be born now.bless u
all

Rmehtacpa on Saturday, December 24, 2011
@jab23756 Simple, turns out to be very BEAUTIFUL. For instance Sadhana
almost always looked so PRETTIER whenever she was presented with least of
makeup. See her in many shots of film Parakh, PremPatra, AsliNaquli and
some others and one would recognize the BEAUTY, beauty of simplicity.

So that she remains unique!
