this song reminds me when I and my brother were in Mumbai and were looking
for a place to live! we had no one over there - no family or friends and it
was such a painfull nights and days. Today after 12 years, this song gives
that sweet pain and memories and makes me cry! thanks for posting this song.

middle class..

Saul goldstein on Thursday, May 07, 2009
greeting mr/mrs imbecile. I DONT hear this b***tard language udu, for mr
gulzar's lyrics. I SEE IT TO RECOLLECT THOSE GLIMPSES OF MUMBAI CITY, IN
THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN,MOSLEMS WERE STILL BEHAVING AND ,LOOKING SIMILAR TO
HUMANS.NOW OF COURSE WITH ALL THE HAPPENINGS, ITS MORE LIKE 4 LEGGED PIGS
RUNNING WILD AND CAUSING SO MUCH DAMAGE. MUMBAI IS THE REASON , I CAN
IDENTIFY WITH THIS NOT GOOLCZAR

Saul goldstein on Monday, May 25, 2009
ur class is different. Its of Khotas and Mujras. Dont even compare

innovativelioness on Sunday, June 14, 2009
why don't they make such movies now a days? movies we can relate
to...absolutely soul stirring lyrics, all of us who have witnessed our
parents in the 70s-80s struggling to make ends meet can relate to this
song. Love Love Love this song..where did this India go???? :(( :((
jeene ki wajan to koi nahi, marne ka bahaana dhundta hai !!

This song always makes me cry! Take me back into the painful but sweet
memories where me and my Brother got job in Mumbai and we were looking for
a place to live! Our salary was a month away and had little money and no
friends or family was in Mumbai. I remember everything, every street,
nights, days and all. BTW thanks for uploading this beautiful song.

This song always makes me cry! Take me back into the painful but sweet
memories where my family shift from old house to new house .that period is
so hard to us

shevepoori56 on Thursday, August 05, 2010
the song, although sung a while ago, is still very relevant to Mumbaikars.apart from a few cosmetic changes all the other aspects have remained static. Garondha was a perfect in all sense!

qaisar7555 on Thursday, September 16, 2010
A few songs as appealing as this one. The very voice of the singer is extremely sad and fit with the lyrics. Both the voice and lyrics leave an everlasting impression on the listener whether he has memories or not. The song indeed is more bewitching for those who have lived lives in dissipation and loneliness. However, it's equally worth for the others too.

what is the mean of 'Aabodana' Aabodana dhundhta hai

gupta41 on Thursday, March 24, 2011
Great voice and such simple yet powerful picturaisation! It gives a sense of yearning and how a search for an abode can become so painful and take over all your living moments and energy. Thanks a lot for this song.

anjalisharma1206 on Friday, April 01, 2011
@st471438 i knw what u mean---- i am cuttrently all alone in a foreign country.

anjalisharma1206 on Friday, April 01, 2011
@gupta41 insightful comment. someitmes what comes to us seems to b a misfit. unfortunate, thts how it is.

bjornsiborgsi on Friday, May 13, 2011
@somu2508 aabodana in this song means "home" or a "place for the night". you can liken it to a bird's nest, or a place to rest.

bjornsiborgsi on Friday, May 13, 2011
bhupinder was actually an instrumentalist in r.d. burman's band.
