acsrrac on Thursday, October 26, 2006

WaltherWronski on Monday, February 12, 2007
It's Polish song "Szla dzieweczka"! (interesting Indian version)

Agulcia83 on Tuesday, February 13, 2007
Polish accent in Indian movie...it's so sweet:D:D:D

M0rt1c1a on Sunday, February 18, 2007
where did they take it from? "mazowsze" was performing there?

pksmlawa on Friday, March 09, 2007
Incredible! How come this Polish folk song got into an Indian movie?

homesweethell666 on Thursday, May 03, 2007
Because you have opened this... you will get kissed on the nearest possible
Friday by the love of your life... if you don't break the chain. Tomorrow
will be the best day of your life. However, if you don't send this to at
least 10 people by the stroke of midnight tonight you will be forever
cursed in love. Just copy and paste this.. Good Luck!

sds1943 on Friday, October 05, 2007
yes...the tune was "inspired" from the classical polish original...of
course it has Salil chowdhuri's inimical touch.

ramaraosuresh on Saturday, October 06, 2007
Salil Da's inimical touch plus blatant infringement of copyrights and not even having the courtesy of acknowledging. Fine song though.

SHEWOLF7 on Friday, November 02, 2007
love dis song is it mohhamed rafi and lata?

hrsd on Saturday, November 17, 2007
Thats Mukesh and Lata!!!

SansonNavajas on Wednesday, November 21, 2007
Beautiful version of the song. I actually like it more than the polish one, but I guess one wouldn't exist without the other. Cultural diversity is where it's at. And the mix. That's where globalization was supposed to take us; not to McDonald's.

kiranabar on Saturday, January 12, 2008
Salil Chaudhary's another soaring melody

minu242 on Sunday, March 23, 2008
Wooow!! What a nice song. These songs ,actors, singers... will forever
remain in our hearts... New songs, movies cant compete with these old
ones...

JoyDevivre on Friday, March 28, 2008
I thought it was Hungarian. Is it Polish then? What is the title in Polish?

siddarthrai on Monday, May 05, 2008
you people must have stolen this song from us...

dasblutistrot on Friday, May 09, 2008
Beautiful!

You must kidding,skatecik10492! Such an accusation is clearly deceitful and arbitrary.

India is the motherland of music, dude.

joezeon on Wednesday, May 21, 2008
send link to the song you talking abt

LodyMalinowe on Friday, May 30, 2008
It is a folk song,so a copyright problem does not exist.Nobody stole it,somebody just got inspired.I guess you would have to up your attitude(and your language while you are at it)to understand it=)

htgajjar on Saturday, June 07, 2008
You bunch of low life you must have stolen from Hindi song !

htgajjar on Saturday, June 07, 2008
Super song by Mukeshji from flim Madhumati

Oliveguy2007 on Friday, June 13, 2008
Salil Choudhry just 'lifted' this tune from the Polish folk song "Szla dzieweczka do gajeczka"

Ravi Gokhale on Saturday, June 14, 2008
I heard your polish tune. Its a very simplistic rambling and no where to be
compared with this complex masterpiece.Any similarities if any must be
coincidental. Many thanks.

Sachin Perinthalakkat on Monday, June 16, 2008
The polish song is a folk song, so it would be simplistic. Salil Choudhary
got "inspired" by the tune, but he remodelled to meet the tastes of Indians
too. And he did a good job on it. His tune "dharthi kahe pukar key" is also
an adapation of a russian march song. :)

Sachin Perinthalakkat on Friday, June 20, 2008
Do you have any sense of history buddy? Poland existed as a nation during
the time of World War 2. Which was when India was a British colony. Salil
Choudhary got "inspired" by very many tunes like these.

htgajjar on Sunday, July 13, 2008
It is true that lots of Old Raj Kapoor's film like Awara and other old
Hindi film music tunes were liked and adopted by Eastern Europe countries
like Poland and USSR in their music.

truearyan666 on Monday, July 14, 2008
It is a Hindi song. The only things Polacks are famous for are stealing, whining, and lack of personal hygiene. All "famous Polacks" have been stolen from others - you stole Copernicus, F. Chopin, and Marie Curie. Stealing is the closest you will ever get to culture. Not that I blame you - what could a bunch of inbred illiterate semi-retarded peasants have accomplished in two decades since "independence"? John Lennon sang "Women is the n-r of the world" - obviously, he hadn't met any Polacks.

proudtobepolish2007 on Tuesday, July 15, 2008
...and when Bohr reached the USA, the tube mysteriously disappeared. After a year, a patent for this same product was applied for by Mr. J.C. Patel of Jamnagar, Gujarat!

vijar29 on Wednesday, July 23, 2008
thanks for the information about poland. and sorry for the comment above
which is nothing but so much trash. of course it is a beautiful tune and
the song is set to that tune. love it. there are many hindi songs that are
based on european tunes and so much the better for it.

JoyDevivre on Saturday, August 09, 2008
Ok, I seriously don't have the energy to read through all these silly
comments. Fact: the melody of this song is taken from a Polish song. Salil
Chowdhury explicitly and openly acknowledged this. Fact: Both the Polish
original and the Hindi song are beautiful. Viva for inspirations. Indians:
stop embarrassing yourself. Polish: stop being so smug

tarazkazakh on Saturday, August 16, 2008
Okay, so Indians and Poles are fighting now ... lol ... what has this world come to

priyankumupal on Sunday, August 31, 2008
I don't care where the song came from, its beautiful, love dilp kumar and
vyjayantimala duo onscreen. and the lyrics of this song is so simple and
cute. i never get tired of this song.

zatrzaska on Thursday, September 25, 2008
And that's a nice story. If I were him, I would have done the same :D

msubrata100 on Friday, October 10, 2008
friend, i totally agree with your view. In fine arts.. music.. all sorts of creativity, getting inspired or even creative copying is no crime. Many people do not know that even Romeo-Juliet was not Shakespeare's original piece. So why bother about people's comment who always try to find negative points in positive creation.

msubrata100 on Friday, October 10, 2008
whether it is created by our great salil da or a genius polish musician, i will enjoy and appreciate the song with same love and excitement. it's really melodious. I do not bother too much whether the first creater was an Indian or Polish. Music has not country, no boundary, no race.

ubpresi on Thursday, November 27, 2008
you are absolutely correct!thanks for the information.i appreciate
salil chowdhury's music a lot but it's not a pleasant feeling to see him
copying tunes

1metropolitan1 on Tuesday, February 10, 2009
I dont understand when people find something in common why they fighting.. similarities should bring people closer and not drive them apart. I have come to know even there is a folk song in Khazakistan as well which is based on the same tune. So Polish, Khazak or Indian what difference does it make, if you like it ? enjoy it !

Nalini Bhat on Saturday, March 07, 2009
This movie is the best ever. Vyjayantimala looks like an apsara, Dilip
kumar is awesome, the songs and dance are surreal and Bimal roy's direction
is superb to say the least. This movie has given me so much happiness. It
has inspired me to become an artist ,a writer and a dancer. These great
people do tremendous service by their talent. Thank you.

noize2sound on Wednesday, April 29, 2009
Dilip Kumar made a mistake at 1:17. Mukesh is singing "Dil tadap tadap" but dilip kumar's lips pronouncing "Dil Dadhak dadhak"..Song is beautiful though, Amazing Salil dada

Sachin Perinthalakkat on Friday, May 29, 2009
Nothing new !!! Check up the comments about the song here.. :).

koolcat0106 on Saturday, June 13, 2009
I'm an Indian and I'm not sure what the big deal is about acknowledging the fact that this is originally a polish song used by Salil Chaudhury, especially when the composer himself has said that that is the case. He has also used Mozart's symphonies in some of his compositions. Doesn't take away from his genius but I'm not sure why indians on this board are projecting a misplaced sense of patriotism.

jsdivine on Monday, June 15, 2009
Salil was a bengali, or a bong. And bongs think if bengalis were not born, the world would wonder why.

Vasant Pusalkar on Thursday, June 25, 2009
It is not easy to Indianize a foreign tune and to make it popular for next
50 years. He was a creative genius. Nobody used Mandolin and Obo
combination like Salilda. His no tune is similar to other Hindi songs.
Salilda is great beyond doubt. He was guru of Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar
too. Tamil film music king Illayaraja was also his assistant for this film
and the guitar in the starting was played by him. Music director Dattaram
given the Thheka i.e Rhythm of Dholak for this film.

rameshvannadil on Saturday, July 25, 2009
a beloved song.and unbeleivable couple. and love bimalroys wonder . well
