Megha Shyam on Sunday, December 11, 2011
It has been acknowledged by Music Director Salil Chowdhary that he was
indeed inspired by the polish folk song for the movie. He just liked the
song to Indianize it. Both pieces have their own place in history. Just
like Ghara Aaya mera Padesi from Awara was inspired by an Arab tune. Just
enjoy the music rather than worrying about irrelevant items.

@sallumaniaczka23 Is that song available on youtube??.. Can you post the
link???..

premacharitra65 on Tuesday, March 06, 2012
This most probably is not copy , but originality is Indian though kindly
check it´s process when produced before commenting ..though lots of
Russian were watching Indian cinemas then.!!

oneuser on Sunday, March 18, 2012

is film ke sabhi geet acche hai

Viswanathan Nair on Sunday, May 27, 2012
You are right ,the composer himself had stated it. He was well versed in
western music.

Viswanathan Nair on Sunday, May 27, 2012
Salil himself had agreed that he was inspired by by the original and he
adapted it very well.

Viswanathan Nair on Sunday, May 27, 2012
Salil himself had written about a gypsy folk song,he was inspired by it and
he adapted it to suit our taste. "itna na mujh se pyar badha" is from a
Mozart composition.

Viswanathan Nair on Sunday, May 27, 2012
Not exactly, Salil himself had written in detail from where he was inpired
tomake adaptations. Many songs are based on classical ragas and it is not
unfair to do so. Plagarism is copying as it is and not giving due credit to
the original. " Itna na mujh se pyar badha" was inspired from a Mozart
composition.

Dilip kumar is so handsome.

kumcha3 on Tuesday, July 03, 2012
Mukesh excels.Once you give that Mukesh touch to a song, you cannot imagine
anyone else singing it so effectively. Those you have tried have failed.

Ranjan Palit on Friday, July 27, 2012
salil choudhury was heavily influenced by western melodies. Among his
composition there is also a version of American add jingle"happy birthday
to you"

Tu nahin to yeh bahaar kya bahaar hai Gul nahin khile ke tera intezaar hai
Ke tera intezaar hai Dil tadap tadap ke keh raha hai aa bhi ja Tu humse
aankh na chura, tujhe kasam hai aa bhi ja

muahahaha.. a mature reply indeed.. go and play in the park kid..

Syed Kaleem on Wednesday, January 16, 2013
we should thank these musicians for bringing such lovely melodies (even if
these were inspired by tunes from west or arabia) or else we would never
have heard them... The good thing is that they adapted these tunes to
Indian music.

Viswanathan Nair on Saturday, May 18, 2013
I heard the polish folk tune many times, Salilda made a great song out of
it with brilliant orchestration. I saw even a polish man congratulating in
a youtube video. I will not say that he copied it, rather got inspiration
to make it immortal.

Prakash S on Tuesday, July 02, 2013

All-time great movie and song. Thanks to Bimal Roy (producer), Dilip Kumar,
Vyjantimala, Mukesh ji and Lata ji. I believe Sebastian was the arranger
and Dattaram was the drummer. These people are the best in the industry.
Thanks a million!
