@immu1981 thanks

the petite on Wednesday, December 28, 2011
@immu1981 These all are Arabic words, Afsanah in arabic means a short
story, intezaar means to wait, mukhtasar means brief, this sounds like Urdu
but i recently figured out that in old movies the spoken language is a
combination between urdu and hindi. i don't know why they're speaking
differently today, is it a political or a cultural matter ?

wonderful lines

Rayan Khan on Sunday, January 01, 2012
@BlahLalaification I think it is only in your recent comment that you've
used the word "interchangeably" as opposed to your claim in the original
comment where you had assumed that almost all of the words were the same.
That's like saying Kannada and Telugu are "almost the same languages" just
because their script is so similar. Or even Urdu and Arabic, or Arabic and
Farsi.

Rayan Khan on Sunday, January 01, 2012
@tamurthDZ the difference today is that they speak a lot of Hinglish which
is a combination of Hindi and English. Quite a lot of the movies are made
by North Indians who are heavily inspired by the Punjabi dialect and bring
those influences into the hindi dialogues. It's not political so much as
individual tastes or comfort.

Rayan Khan on Sunday, January 01, 2012
@tamurthDZ yes, this is Kathak. There are quite a few styles of Kathak.
This is the Darbari style (used primarily for entertainment of seated
patrons) and the Temple style used to tell religious stories. The Kathak in
this clip is Darbari and specifically called mujra (dance done to ghazals,
qawwalis, khayaals, thumris with minimal and small movements). I am a
kathak student myself, so I read a lot about this.

machokhan1 on Wednesday, January 25, 2012
@mauryavikram hindi in itself is not a language. let me tell you one thing.
Urdu is not speaking hindi. its a totally different language altogether.
Urdu is a mixture of Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Sanskrit. get your facts
right before commenting on anything.

Vikram Maurya on Friday, March 02, 2012
@machokhan1 well if you feel proud of a guy who first marries 15 year old
woman and then a 6 year old girl ( as if marrying grand mom and grand child
) at the same time then be proud for rest of your life. One request though
don't marry a girl of 6 year when you are 54 and spoil his life.
