Ramchandra, this is one of 2 songs with Nimmi-Dev which truly capture my
heart, one for the pain of loss seared in Lata's voice (aao tumko dekhle,
duubti nazarose' hum; Loot kar mera jahan, chhup gaye' ho tum kaha), & the
other (gup chup gup chup payar kare') for the tenderest romance between
them, hauntingly sung by Sandhya M & Hemant. The first one ached my heart
in 60's when I first heard it. When I came across the 2nd in '90's, it only
reinforced for me Burman Da's musical versatility, par excellence. Yet both
from 1951 movie I never watched.
