Lyrics / Video of Song : Tu Pyar Ka Sagar Hai Teri Ek Boond Ke Pyasa Hum

tu pyaar ka saagar hai, tu pyaar ka saagar hai
teri ek bund ke pyase hum, teri ek bund ke pyase hum
lauta jo diya tumne, lauta jo diya tumne
chale jaayenge jahan se hum, chale jaayenge jahan se hum
tu pyaar ka saagar hai, tu pyaar ka saagar hai
teri ek bund ke pyase hum, teri ek bund ke pyase hum
tu pyaar ka saagar hai

ghaayal man ka paagal panchhi udne ko beqaraar
udne ko beqaraar
pankh hai komal, aankh hai dhundli, jana hai saagar paar
jaana hai saagar paar
ab tu hi ise samjha, ab tu hi ise samjha
raah bhule the kaha se hum, raah bhule the kaha se hum
tu pyaar ka saagar hai
teri ek bund ke pyase hum, teri ek bund ke pyase hum
tu pyaar ka saagar hai

idhar jhumke gaaye zindagi, udhar hai maut khadi
udhar hai maut khadi
koi kya jaane kaha hai seema, uljhan aan padi
uljhan aan padi
kaano me zara keh de, kaano me zara keh de
ke aaye kaun disha se hum, ke aaye kaun disha se hum
tu pyaar ka saagar hai
teri ek bund ke pyase hum, teri ek bund ke pyase hum
tu pyaar ka saagar hai, tu pyaar ka saagar hai

@ssnival i m also fan of rafi sahib& worship him like god. every singer in his own capacity is best. u cant deny talents of manadey kishor mukesh hemant mahinder talat & surash wadekar. its wrong 2 compare singers. the highly connoisseur music directors r masters in their field & better visualize as 2 on which star which singer suits as per story situation etc. njoy & admire the song. dont b so short hearted & come out of this shell. all singers r best & so is rafi sahib my favorit.

IMMORTAL song by SHANKER-JAIKISHEN/SHAILENDRA /MANNADEY. Superb performance by Nutan and Balraj Sahani.

Could this comforting bhajan be the first congregational in Hindi film? It showed Shankar Jaikishan not only made great romantic compositions. Similarly, they proved their versatility with "classical" based music in Basant Bhahar & shut up threir distractors who considered them "pedestrian" (without rich classical background). They were my initial "music heroes" when I became enamoured of Hindi music. My other fav congergational bhajan is Allah Tero Naam by Jaidev, Hum Dono. Thanks Yuan.

It goes like this"- "You are an ocean of love, we are thirsty for your one drop, if you turn us back us empty handed, we will return from this world. Our injured soul, like a carzy bird. is desparate to fly away. its wings are fragile, eyesight hazy, it wants to cross the ocean, now you only guide it, we are lost, where are we? Here the life is in joyous mood, there the death is satndng, who knows what is the limit, whisper it in our ears, whisch direction to take to reach you....."

I am sorry brother if I offended u in any way but I cant accept that manna dey was better than Rafi............I say that because rafi is considered to be best by most......and then as far as controll is concerned I feel that he had that...yes maybe in this song manna dey has gone beyond his own best and sung really with superb controll....I accept that but I was saying that Rafi is overall the BEST

Long live Shankar-Jaikishan-Shailendra-Mannadey . This song is just heavenly. I really wonder what inspiration SJ, had to compose such great tune , what inspired Shailendra to come up with such profound lyrics. Needless to say, Mannadey had a heavenly touch in rendering this song. As long music is alive, this song will be heard.

- Thank you my dear friend for the comment. Usually, I too try to "contribute" something to many of the comments made by our friends [with MY two cents worth of opinion!] but at times avoid, for obvious reasons, I being a "foreigner" myself! This is one of them, I am afraid. Hope some other friends will "respond". Thank you.

Very true. Its reality. I'll tell you something jaani27. The 2 songs that came to my mind all the time after the death of my mother were 1. this song and 2nd Hum laye hain toofan se kisti nikaal ke, Is desh ko rakhna mere baccho sambhalke. If this is not reality, then what is? Long live these songs.
