Lyrics / Video of Song : Shok Nazar Ki Bijaliyaan Dil Pe Mere Giraae Jaa

shokh nazar ki bijaliya dil pe mere giraaye ja
mera na kuchh khayal kar tu yu hi muskaraaye ja
shokh nazar ki bijaliya

jag uthi hai aarzu jaise chiraag jal pade
ab to vafa ki raah pe ham tere saath chal pade
chaahe hansaaye ja hame chaahe hame rulaaye ja
shokh nazar ki bijaliya dil pe mere giraaye ja
shokh nazar ki bijaliya

chain kahi kisi ghadi aaye na tere bin mujhe
kaash mai is jahaan se chhin lu ek din tujhe
mai tere sath sath hu chaahe nazar bachaye ja
shokh nazar ki bijaliya dil pe mere giraaye ja
mera na kuchh khayal kar tu yu hi muskaraaye ja
shokh nazar ki bijaliya

Well in that case, Professor would be the only film of Shammi where played double role. As a bearded professor and as the lady in "blue color tight fitting kameez". : )

Just for other viewers, the Tamil Movie was a remake of the Hindi one. Madan Mohan is an Original Legend. A rarest of rare composers, in front of whom, entire country's composers bow down till date. I remember I think Naushad once told, for Madan Mohan's one single composition of Appki Najron Ne Samjha, Naushad would love to dedicate all his compositions to Madan Mohan. Seems as if, GOD himself was sitting beside him when he composed songs. every single piece a master pi - via YtPak(.com)

asha has put soul in this particular song. such type of songs cant b sung y lata her voice being soft. one cant ignore the talents of asha. her mentor OP NAYYAR always prefered asha 4 playback n never gave any song 2 lata. the others i.e. ravi, khayam, ndutta, madan mohan also prefered asha over lata. but both these sisters hv ruined the career of many other highly talented singers like mubarak begum, suman kalyanpur, sulakshna, sudha malhotra etc.

@RealMusicKing I think you are a guy with sense of humor. I noticed it once when you commented on Kishore Kumar in the song of "Pyar kiye jaa". About Parveen Chaudary i want you to watch the song" Yeh umar hai kya rangeeli" of "Professor" movie. She wore blue color tight fitting kameez. Watch her figure, her charming gait, her grace and beauty. I am sure you will forget Shammi Kapoor.

Some tune..and superbly rendered by Ahsa. So emphatic is the tune and playback that a supporting actress like her is also apparently seem to be acting with superb confidence. ...Woh Kaun Thi (1964), starring Manoj Kumar, Sadhana, Prem Chopra, Helen, K.N.Singh, Mohan Choti, Dhumal, Music Director: Madan Mohan, Producer: Prithvi Pictures Director: Raj Khosla.

This is one of the finest examples of East-West fusion music. The ghazal and geet maestro Madan Mohan showed us how he could venture beautifully way beyond his usual territory. As for Asha Bhonsle, not even Saraswati Lataji would grudge our admiration for the amazing sweetness and sensuality that AB has infused into this song. It has to be on AB's 10 best list. Thanks for the post.

I think what you said about having affairs is just all BS! You have to understand that to do somewhat well in the face of other great singer LATA is itself a big achievement. Give due credit to Asha for what she is(she sings well too!) and to her sister Lata for shaping the golden age of hindi film music.

The viewer who commented that Asha Bhonsle survived only on the strength of her affairs with music directors is very very disturbing and absolutely wrong. She has vocal strengths and voice quality that equals and often excels her sister. Anyone with some idea of music will agree with me.

@RealMusicKing Well she does look like a man made up to be a woman! And it could be Shammi with the salaams. All that is missing are the angular "twist your limbs out of their joints" gyrations to make it typical Shammi. Although I do like him and all the Kapoor brothers.

@reva12 I don't care to whom you like. But i know every eye forms it's own beauty. If you don't like Miss Chaudary then keep your thoughts to yourself. What you said "sack of patotoes" is defined as "Pear shaped body". in the Glamor World. Read some beauty magazines.
