True excellence is a bye-product or erudite scholarship and sharpened intellect. I would recommend a very wide reading, a deep erudtion of world and indian history, political science, management and the behavioral sciences and of course ,current affairs, macro-economics/macro-economics/ scoiology/social anthropology and a sound grounding in engineering, the pure sciences, the natural sciences, medical sciences and multiple languages and cultures to top it all.
