A very good movie starring the talented dance queen Vyjayanthimala. She delivers some of the best dance numbers in this film. Amrapali is my favorite Vyjayanthimala classic for it truly captures some of the most memorable dance numbers in all of Bollywood history. My favorite scene in the film is the dance off competition during which she just exudes such mastery as an artist.

the drummer is reaching the peak she has to start dancing.. Under the
protection of the blue sky Every Day I meet with loneliness.. my heart
becomes a bird and flies out of control.. I stand here feeling lost and
alone.. repeat.. its a wailing sound a sound of sadness not of happiness..
Whenever a flower emits a beautiful smell My memories of my lover are
ignited.. I feel as if a bee is flying vibrating all my nerve points all
over my body.. I feel a fire a thirst in my body.

Dear Talaikya1, Thanks for uploading a beautiful video. I am
Vyijayanthimala's ardent fan. She is a perfect woman. Her postures are
perfect. Great balance of body ! In this film she put her heart but it was
commercial failure. The king played by Bipin Gupta and the queen is old
famous heroine of silent era - Sulochana ( Ruby Miers ). The Pradhan played
by Baburao Pendharkar. Although SJ is composer on screen, the entire music
composed by Shankar alone.

Vyjayanthimala was a very popular actress from the 50's and 60's era. A
fine and trained classical dancer..one of the best in her time..probably
the best ever..also a very good actress as well..Have you seen Sangam..she
was the main actress there.She is a south Indian who started off in tamil
and graduated with Hindi and was one of the tops of the 60's together with
Sadhana and Asha Parekh, Saira Banu.
