Shree 420, or Mr. 420 in English, is a very famous Indian film. You can find clips of it on here. I believe it's the number for fraud or a similar crime. I don't know *too* much about Indian cinema, but I would guess that the use of that number in Amar Akbar Anthony is an homage.

This movie was is sooo awesome. I thought of it after watching Slumdog Millionaire. I used to watch all Amitabh Bachchan's movies when i lived in Africa in the early 90's. Where can i get a copy of the movie Amar Akbar Anthony??
