Lyrics of Ek Akela Iss Shahar Me, Rat Me Aur Dopahar Me - एक अकेला शहर में, रात में और दोपहर में
ek akela is shehar me, raat me aur dopahar me
aabodana dhundta hai
aashiyana dhundta hai
ek akela is shehar me, raat me aur dopahar me
aabodana dhundta hai
aashiyana dhundta hai, ek akela is shehar me
din khali khali bartan hai
din khali khali bartan hai
aur raat hai jaise andha kuan
in suni andheri aankho se
aansu ki jagah aata hain dhuan
jine ki vajah to koyi nahi
marne kaa bahana dhundta hai
dhundta hai, dhundta hai
ek akela is shehar me, raat me aur dopahar me
aabodana dhundta hai
aashiyana dhundta hai, ek akela is shehar me
in umar se lambi sadko ko
in umar se lambi sadko ko
manjil pe pahunchte dekha nahi
bas daudti phirti rahti hain
hamne to theharte dekha nahi
is ajnabi se shehar me
jana pehachana dhundta hai
dhundta hai, dhundta hai
ek akela is shehar me, raat me aur dopahar me
aabodana dhundta hai
aashiyana dhundta hai, ek akela is shehar me

qaisar7555 on Thursday, September 16, 2010 A few songs are as appealing as this one. The very voice of the singer is extremely sad and fit with the lyrics. Both the voice and lyrics leave an everlasting impression on the listener whether he has memories or not. The song indeed is more bewitching for those who have lived lives in dissipation and loneliness. However, it's equally worth for the others too.
gupta41 on Thursday, March 24, 2011 Great voice and such simple yet powerful picturaisation! It gives a sense of yearning and how a search for an abode can become so painful and take over all your living moments and energy. Thanks a lot for this song.
st471438 on Saturday, March 27, 2010 This song always makes me cry! Take me back into the painful but sweet
memories where me and my Brother got job in Mumbai and we were looking for
a place to live! Our salary was a month away and had little money and no
friends or family was in Mumbai. I remember everything, every street,
nights, days and all. BTW thanks for uploading this beautiful song.
