Afzaal Ameer on Monday, November 12, 2012 1. Youtube is for watching and not only 'listening' 2. You in Youtube
stands for its dedication to user. ie. me 3. This comment system is for
everyone to present our views on the video. 4. If you are such a fanboy or
enthusiast, i would like to bring to your knowledge that Rahman sir is a
musician not a singer. 5. Before you start ranting that he has sung SOME
songs, I would request you to shut up, and listen :/
Venkat S Venky on Friday, January 31, 2014 I have not heard the original... And so I am at a better place to rate this
effort by Rahman. This is MAGICAL! It feels like heaven to me. This is
that vintage Rahman melodic song that makes me feel like you are floating
joyously in ecstacy. Don't know how good the original was, but this one is
FANTASTIC!!! Frankly, I dont want to hear the original now. Who cares? This
is enough for me.
Parijat Kaushik on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 This song has all the elements in it that make AR Rahman look good and
bring the spotlight. But everything that brings alive this classic is
missing. The vocals have no passion or depth of expression, the accordion
is handled without skill, the strings section is under utilised. No
disrespect to AR Rahman, but everything after Dil Se & Roja seem to be
Ajit Dubey on Friday, October 09, 2015 Sir, I am a die hard fan of yours but this time I'm not gonna praise you
for this version because I believe that nobody can match the height of the
Farida Khanum version. I have even heard the original rendition by Habib
Wali Mohammad and then the rendition by Asha Bhosle ji but Farida Khanum
version is still the best from my point of view.
hblix2007 on Monday, December 23, 2013 I agree with Nawaid and Dixson M.L. This song does not suit Rahman's nasal
twang and the rendition is mediocre at best. Very few people can sing this
successfully - not even Asha Bhosale. Search Shankar Tucker/Rohini Ravada
on youtube. That according to me is the closest anyone can come to doing
justice to the original.
Tatai Chakraborty on Sunday, August 03, 2014 I am a huge fan of AR. This is a good arrangement no doubt. But that
passion is missing. And I don't know whether its deliberate, but its not
"hai mar jayenge" but its "HAAYE mar jaenge".. If he has done it
deliberately then I must say it has not worked. The grief of someone
departing is completely missing..
anoop venu on Thursday, November 15, 2012 The variations he made are really nice esp. the charanams; like ' kal ki
kis ko khabar..' and ' tum ko apni kasam..' and some words have
beauutifully gone nascal.. but any ways rahman's soaring vocals compensate
it for all.. this is the most historic tv shows in indian television
anand s on Monday, November 05, 2012 Do agree with you. it is not always the music but also the voice and the
pronunciation of the words. The songs many times are let down by the wrong
pronunciation. like asking Nelly to sing a Hindi song or a tamil song..
