Lyrics of Aaiye Meharabaan Baithiye Jaan E Jaan - आइये मेहरबाँ, बैठिये जाने-जाँ
aaiye meharabaan, baithiye jaane-jaan
shauq se lijiye ji, pyaar kaa imtahaan
dekha machal ke jidhar, bijali giraa de udhar
kisakaa jalaa aashiyaan, bijali ko ye kyaa khabar
kaise ho tum naujavaan, itane hasi mahamaan
kaise karun mai bayaan, dil ki nahi hai zubaan

shekarman on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 Yes, sad to hear that but he must have had a good life. BTW, Raj Khosla lived a street down from us and I already mentioned about KN Singh. Also, Sashi Kapoor went to school with my dad -- they were in the same class and friends. I am not bragging but pointing out that the India of those days was different -- we were middle class but the rich did not have the airs and we all mingled fairly easily. How things changed later.
Kay Cee on Thursday, March 25, 2010 @khandeel Madhubala wasn't just a beauty: she was a visual proof of what a
beauty can be! Just as Asha isn't just a singer: she defines singing. And
when both join hands, we all can be but an awestruck audience only!
Khandeel, many thanks for sharing this gem. No matter how many times you
see it, its miracle on audio/visual senses never looses its wonder. Thanks
to PremGatha too for uploading this melodious number.
yuanyuanyuanyin on Sunday, February 15, 2009 Yes, sadly he died on 31 January 2000, Bombay, Maharashtra after acting in 132 Hindi films. He was 92 years old.
Thanks for the additional information, my friend.
