This song makes me want to cry. Hope he gets well soon.

this one's good but i like the original gujarati version sung by Praful
Dave,a gujarati folk singer..I heard this song in lata mangeshkar, sonu
nigam and many more great singer's voices..but Praful Dave's version is
amazingly unique..BTW for all my non-gujarati friend's info, this song was
written by Narsinh Meha,a 14th century gujarati poet, many people mistake
this song to be written by Gandhiji..

Bhupen'Da is my all time favourite one of great singer; but he should NOT
sing this great song in Gujarati. Without singing of this song, Bhupen'Da,
we Gujaratis love and respect you as a legendary singer. Personally, I can
not accept this song singing such way! This type experiments should not be
done with some nobel song of some perticular language; Bhupen'Da you was
Gujarat's Jamai, we salute your art, your rememberence be there always.

You are the greatest character i had admired, i admire and will always admire. Your blessings will always be with us and will miss u at all times to come. May your soul rest in peace.

@bhagyendra1 Understood. U are a Gujarati & the Bhajan is a part of your
rich culture.U have put it nicely too.But one must salute the Bard's
spirit. He was getting old & was ill, still he did the recording. The maestro
is gone though many of us didn't want it.Even outside of India, people with
an Indian & Assamese connection have grieved. His son Tej Hazarika from
NY,is half Gujarati & speaks Gujarati very well.But he'll understand.Pls,
aap bhi jaane do na, if the diction or anything isn't perfect.

SuperSne1 on Tuesday, November 22, 2011
@bhagyendra1 Yes, as many pointed out, he was ill during the recording.Yet
he sang Gandhiji's favorite Bhajan. It ended up being his last recording.
It's a sign of RESPECT too.So let it be na... People like me have always
loved it too & have understood the meaning from the translations. It's so
sad.Dada loved and tried helping the weak, the poor and the downtrodden a
lot, yet he suffered so much towards the end.Such is life sometimes. But
God is blessing his beautiful soul now and forever.

SuperSne1 on Tuesday, November 22, 2011
God bless you Dada, now and forever. You will always be missed and
remembered with love and respect.

Apuni gusi gol aamak aari thoi...Monot xodaye dukh thakibo. Xorute apunak
dekhisilu... Aru kisu baar jodi apunak log pabo pora hole...Dukh thaki gol.
Logon ne prarthana kiya tha, aap ke tabiyat ke liye... Lata ji ne bhi kiya
tha... Hum ne bhi wish kiya tha. Kaash aisa hota, kaash aapki tabiyat theek
ho jaati...But be happy up there in heaven, forever.

SuperSne1 on Tuesday, November 22, 2011
@, Also, read in a interview that Priyam ji said from Canada that Dada
deserves all the adulation, love, respect he got and is getting. She was
such a beauty. God bless her. I think she would like dada's version too and
won't mind even if it isn't perfect. After all, the feeling and the effort
behind the bhajan is what matters...God bless.
