sharda ji and she is in new york these days.

Mala kadar on Wednesday, May 28, 2008
melodious song with two of legendary actresses. thanks!

biasedcoin on Monday, August 25, 2008
what a voice!! made sharda famous

70sDub on Tuesday, September 16, 2008
fantastic voice! I doubt if Lata could do it better on this particular song.

MZHH on Tuesday, September 23, 2008
yeah that is sharda the sing but lataji would have been great. Am sure you
will agree with me. Thanks

70sDub on Wednesday, September 24, 2008
theres no doubt Lata would have absolutely nailed it with her talent but
what i am suggesting is that this song probably suits Sharda better. its
just the tone of voice and style i suppose. who knows??

Sanjeev Nalavade on Thursday, September 25, 2008
Shardaji voice siuts to this song so much perfectly that this song in
anybody else's voice cannot be acceptable.

chinnasmiles on Tuesday, October 07, 2008
good song have been looking for it since years thanx whoever posted it here

Sreenath M on Wednesday, October 08, 2008
Sharada the fantastic voice with a slight sweet lisp. How one was eager in
those days to hear more of her. Thanks to sisters jealousy she was bottled
up to do vague number items and she could always maintain the consitent
exotic charm in every songs.

tony frank De' S on Friday, November 28, 2008
a beautiful song sung by Sharda pictured on two of the most beautiful
actresses of all times. The Legendary and evergreen Vyjayanthimala and
Mumtaz..two classical actresses.

Devesh Das on Wednesday, December 17, 2008
Beautiful Song . I was longing 2 listen to it for years. At last I have
found it. Thanks a lot

man radz on Wednesday, December 17, 2008
Sharda's voice is a breath of fresh air - soothing, sultry and
intimidating. It takes such a polished composer like Shanker-Jaikishen to
dare bring forth such a talent. Maybe she has not stood strong as other
divas of her time, but Sharada certainly is unique and shows what surprises
Bollywood can produce. Sharada has sung quite a number of hits. Youtube is
a place of honor where gems like this can be shared. So, anyone - dont
hesitate post more of her songs. Keep it up!!

Titli means butterfly. The song goes. Buttefly flew and flower calls, come
near me, She responds, no I am flying free in the sky. I can't forget
flowery stars in the sky,the world of absolute freedom awaits me there, how
can I forget that. I want to fly beyond the clouds.Flower says don't waste
your time cos no one awaits you there. She says spreading her wings, I will
meet my Prince charming over there. Butterfly flew onwards. ROUGHLY
SPEAKING...

Tanx Viganti !

Awesome...two beautiful ladies...This is real beauty...Um!!

navsikand on Sunday, March 07, 2010
gosh one hears so many unpleasant stories about lata these days. I
definitly prefer sharda and geeta dutt...even suman kalyanpur is sweeter
than lata who was sounding harsh as early as the mid 60s. I only like her
early songs

navsikand on Tuesday, March 09, 2010
that really makes me kind of not want to listen to them anymore! you sound
very knowledgable about all this, how did you learn all these anecdotes? i
love sharda, she is so unique sounding, dreamy, echoing, voice that sounds
like an instrument

pikluable on Monday, March 22, 2010
translation in English is nice, some of the other members'comments really hurt me,Lataji and ashji is great and uncomparable, actually sumanji was very talented but copied lataji leading to identity crisis of her own, sardaji was good but not of that callibre which ashaji and lataji possessed.

thewatermelonfan on Monday, April 05, 2010
beautiful, i just remembered this song from my childhood, didnt know the name or film, just found it by fluke, u cant beat these songs!!!

fayaaz007 on Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Abu Asan Abdul Hamid on Saturday, May 22, 2010

Thanks very much for posting this song. The last time I listened to it, I
may perhaps have been 10 and that is about 40 years ago ! Lovely song.
Thanks for posting this ! Cheers Suresh Strasbourg

Asha had to play second fiddle to Lata until the mid 70s, or she would have suffered the same fate. Lata also drove out the great singers of the 40s, e.g.- Amirbai Karnataki and Zohrabai Ambalewali.

NewEye2World on Sunday, August 22, 2010
Oh Wao..I thought this was just kids poem..Nice..but I remember sm line
..saying Titli kahe hatt Badmaash..meie chali akaash

chittaranjan mishra on Tuesday, September 07, 2010
@fayaaz007 You are right. Mumtaz outshines Vyjayanthimala, although the
role accorded to her is limited. She was the finest actress Hindi of the
golden age of Hindi cinema.

Excellent video!

seemadubey on Sunday, September 26, 2010
My 1st recollection of any song...

ringarose85 on Friday, October 22, 2010
Mumtaz is cute and was a good actress although she was always on the weighty side. But i disagree with you that she outshined Vyjayanthimala. Vjy was one of the finest actresses and one of the best classical dancers to on screen. So no question of outshining. VJY is a legend in her own right and dances at 72 even till today!

impr33typrincess on Tuesday, January 18, 2011
this is my childhood song
and i use to sing like that. titli udi ud na saki bus me bethi seat na mili
driver bola a mere pass titli boli chal badmash

RAKESH PRIYADARSHI on Wednesday, March 16, 2011
vjayantimala s best in all circumstances :)

Johal on Saturday, May 14, 2011
who sang it ???

Prasanth205 on Friday, May 20, 2011
can i say one thing...mumtaz is a g8 actress..with cool attitude...but in this she just look lyk a extra..not even a supporting actress 4 god sake!! but vyjayanthi was awesum!! <3 her...she never tries 2 out shine than mumtaz.but I'm preety sure tat she did that anyway!! nice sng...with nice actresses...

negarin2011 on Friday, July 15, 2011
although the song is veru beautiful,i don't like the singer's voice

hira1ft on Wednesday, July 27, 2011
a sweet and joyful voice, absolutely wonderful. Why Sharda disappeared from the industry, what a loss.!

Johal on Saturday, January 21, 2012
such a wonderful performance by vyjayanthimala but mumtaz is credited only
as a character but when she plays a dominant role in the film.

Shasha V on Tuesday, July 02, 2013
its is not intentionaly sumanji copied lata its the Music directors desire
to sing like her because her voice can match Lata's quality and tempo. and
Lata bcz of her attituude refused to sing with rafi over the loyaliy made
so many MD like shankra jaikishan . Laxmi pyare SD burman to bring her in
place of lata for duets and you can see most of the Hit duets of rafi is
with sumanji..and lata was also responsible to spoil the carrier of Mubark
Begum

jigna dani on Friday, April 04, 2014
NICE COMBITION ! TWO NICE BEAUTIES & SWEET-SWEET VOICE OF SHARDAJI !
