pretty. and even though she keeps holding herself back with the dancing,
she's a little stiff. but not bad, lot of potential a little more
expression and we'll be good. still a good performance :D wish her teacher
taught her a lil better though T_T; im imagining there was a LIL
communication problems

Ameiaru on Wednesday, December 23, 2009
dancing and lip syncing can easily be fixed. =p

SharathCK on Saturday, December 26, 2009
i agree with bandi i think her "bad" dancing was justified for the whole
shy indian girl role. of course she can't dance but it worked out for her
in this role. and come on just when you find out she's not indian that's
when the hate comes?

Annamaria Khan on Sunday, December 27, 2009
shes nice and very young nice songs from this movie i like her but not the
dancing

crazyangel987 on Sunday, January 03, 2010
What was the point in getting a foreigner for the role? I don't have anything against her, but I don't understand why she was put into a role which requires a total desi girl. She's cute but her every movement is ... off.

IshyaShah on Sunday, January 03, 2010
she had approached Ali through designer Anaita Shroff Adajania to audition
for the role of Jo, Saif Ali Khan's Caucasian girlfriend in the second-half
of the film, but, on his wife's suggestion Ali took her for Harleen's part,
especially since he had not been able to cast for that role despite
auditioning girls from all over India.(wikipedia) thats really weird, i
didnt even notice she was brazilian :P good job, but yeah she is a little
stiff but its not ruining movie

Mohammad Malik on Monday, January 04, 2010
she is nice, but i think all her movements look off and her expressions are
all same because she doesn't really understand the meaning of the song, so
she has no idea what expression to give for what part, thats all, otherwise
i didn't even notice she was not indian until i read about it.

Vineet Kumar on Thursday, January 07, 2010
@crazyangel987 did you see the movie?

Vineet Kumar on Thursday, January 07, 2010
good to know that you did :) Perhaps I'm blinded by Giselle's beauty :S,
but - naive as she is and also a tad uncomfortable with Saroj Khan's dance
steps - I can not imagine another actress filling her shoes for Harleen's
characters. So, foreigner or no foreigner, to quote our Romeo Veer Singh :)
"Iss janam mein aur har janam mein.. yahi meri votti banegi. Harleen Kaur"

aleenafahad on Friday, January 08, 2010
lol...nahin...beth oye ;) ...hahaha

mils2211 on Friday, January 08, 2010
Giselle is good

But there are many better looking struggling Indian actresses waiting for opportunity.

mils2211 on Friday, January 08, 2010
Giselle looks uncomfortable with lip syncing and dance steps..

imthebestyouneverhad on Saturday, January 09, 2010
SHEEE IS TOO THIN

innocent4eva on Tuesday, January 12, 2010
the whole set in the song looks like form the beginngin of rab ne banadi
jodi and the last bit is from veer-zaara

GoldenGoddess786 on Thursday, January 14, 2010
I don't think this girl has any business being in Indian films because her
body language is all wrong, her facial expressions are non existent, she
has no alluring quality, she isn't pretty at all, she's extremely plain and
ordinary. And she cannot dance or sing or lip sync or anything for that
matter. I can't believe she was even put in a film.

ssspiderman on Friday, January 15, 2010
Chill out!! U just jealous to see a brazilian girl making it good in
Bollywood!! She is best of all innocent beauties in India and in the world
as a whole. If I would be Saif, I would go for her instead of
Kareena!!!!!!!!What a beauty!!!!

GoldenGoddess786 on Saturday, January 16, 2010
And since I am not Indian BUT I love Indian movies and now I have been
watching them for quite a long time and I know so much about the culture
and the dancing, I would love to be in a Bollywood movie myself, so on the
contrary my ignorant little friend, I actually encourage people who are not
Indian to also work in Indian movies, why not? But it doesn't change the
fact that this girl in my opinion is not pretty and she doesn't have the
ability to dance. Do some research next time.

spacekangaroo on Monday, January 18, 2010
@GoldenGoddess786: I totally agree with you. When I first saw this film, I
thought this girl must be the daughter of the producer or something because
there's no way she would have scored this role on her own. Her dancing and
lip-synching are clumsy, her facial expressions are wooden, and she can't
speak Hindi. There are a lot of non-Indian actors who are great in Indians
films (like the actresses from Lagaan and Rang De Basanti). But this girl
should NOT be in movies.

spacekangaroo on Monday, January 18, 2010
Beauty is the only thing that this Giselle girl has. Yes, she's pretty. But
she can't act, lip-synch, dance, or even speak for herself in a Hindi film.
There are plenty of beautiful girls out there who can do all of these
things, but unfortunately, Giselle is not one of them. She belongs in
clothing commercials, not in films.

Have PEOPLE forgotten the HISTORY OF INDIA?? Have people Lost SELF RESPECT?? All those PEOPLE who are RELATED to or show and have associations to the mughal dynasty DO NOT deserve to live in India. Those Cunning, Barbaric Foreigners PURPOSEFULLY RUINED the lives of millions of Innocent people for their greediness. They are STILL Cruelly DESTROYING the Culture & killing innocent people. They should go away from this place. BOYCOTT there companies and the products they advertise for. BOYCOTT THEM.

ramya48 on Wednesday, January 27, 2010
can someone please explain why this girl Giselle is getting nomination for
Best Newcomer and Best Supporting Actress when she did absolutely nothing
in the film but look shy. She's very beautiful, no doubt, but how is she
supposed to act in Bollywood films when she hasn't been exposed to the
language or style of dance at all. At least Katrina Kaif has some
indianness to where she's been exposed to the culture and whatnot, but if
Giselle succeeds at all in hindi films, its due to her looks.

ramya48 on Wednesday, January 27, 2010
and did I mention that she has only one expression throughout this song?

hukti4eva on Friday, January 29, 2010
@ramya48 I completely agree with you!
And i never knew she was nominated for best newcomer and supporting actress? wow! Just goes to show that the bollywood industry seem to place more importance on looks rather than talent these days.

goongparbat on Saturday, January 30, 2010
Giselle is a Brazilian model, but looks quite Indian, Punjabi to be
precise. It is good for her.

djlohan1 on Sunday, January 31, 2010
the girl is sooooooooo cute..i just love her..i saw this song 100000times only for girl...bollywood really rocks

varsityjonasfan on Sunday, January 31, 2010
this girl is pretty but she can't dance or act or anything.

juliesngh on Sunday, January 31, 2010
@varsityjonasfan well this is totally new for her coz she is by far not
indian at all..shes a brazillian model and indian directors nowdays are
obsessed by them n so u see brazillillian actrsses more in bollywood
movies, like barbara mori in kites with hrithik and jaquilene fernandez in
alddin the indian version! lol

djlohan1 on Thursday, February 04, 2010
the most beautiful movement of the song
------
when girl goes to meet the actor and turns arround with a very sweet shy face...

-----i love it..when irl shies looks soo cute..specially this one

charger20008 on Thursday, February 04, 2010
lovely song her simple looks nice .

xprincessx84 on Sunday, February 07, 2010
i agree she is very pretty but cant sing nor can she dance?! Why not get a person who can speak hindi to act in a hindi film? Its really not rocket science...

0allysa0 on Thursday, February 11, 2010
she did a pretty good job on account for the fact that this is new for her

exoticbeb on Monday, February 15, 2010
@varsityjonasfan i agree!!!

chatrik007 on Thursday, February 18, 2010

Lina M on Thursday, February 25, 2010

IndiAsiaEarth on Saturday, February 27, 2010
@ishqo0o Her name is Giselli Monteiro. I was soo surprised when I found out that she was Brazilian, but then again i shouldn't have been.. cause there was something off about her in the movie soo..

ishqo0o on Saturday, February 27, 2010
@chatrik007

ishqo0o on Saturday, February 27, 2010
@IndiAsiaEarth
really wow
in fact I didn't understand the song but nice :)

Mark1Mach2 on Friday, March 05, 2010
The actress is totally out of synch with the words. I understand she is
brazilian, so that might be the case. Anyhoooo nice song!

IndyenRtist on Saturday, March 06, 2010
@Mark1Mach2 She's from Brazil?

love4india786 on Saturday, March 06, 2010
saif dance like a real punjabi.looks good and funny

Mark1Mach2 on Sunday, March 07, 2010
@IndyenRtist Yes she is Brazilian! Her name is Gisile.

Hrithik65 on Sunday, March 14, 2010
this had the potential to be an amazing song if an energetic girl with lively facial expressions and movements was chosen instead.. I respect this Brazilian girl for doing the best she could but her face is too fixed and plastic doll-like and her moves are waayy too graceful to fit with the nakhra in the singer's voice.. Someone like Preity Zinta or Rani Mukherjee would've breathed life into this song.. then again, they would outdo Deepika, the leading lady of LAK..prob not a good thing lol

Hrithik65 on Sunday, March 14, 2010
even someone like Isha Koppikar would've been a better selection..

Mark1Mach2 on Sunday, March 14, 2010
@Hrithik65 Yes absolutely, I have the same feeling - see my comment below.
Yes she is good looking but thats where it ends. She could not do justice
to the song - not many facial expressions, no free in body movements, no
SYNC with the song. Do like her for her bravery to do the role but she
failed short on doing justice to the song.

Mark1Mach2 on Sunday, March 14, 2010
@fruityrupis Coz the Director Imitaz Ali apparently liked her for her Shy
behavior in real life too. See she was from a rural area in Brazil.
