romance at its sincerity best . height of innocence in love , purity in melody

AnwarFan on Monday, August 03, 2009
According to legends (Watching Too Much Kungfu Panda); this is the duet for which the great SD Burman brought Rafi and Lata back together, they kissed and made up and then recorded this wonderful beauty...thought id mention this as the song will be appreciated even more:)

Molarity83 on Tuesday, September 08, 2009
can someone explain the lyrics to me ;) I only know some hindi words here and there.

vaadaenmacchi on Saturday, November 07, 2009
thanks! I knew lata and rafi had a tiff and so did SD and lata. for all her greatness, i think she was not as humble as rafi and was responsible for ensuring suman kalynapur didn't make it in bollywood.

delpierorulez on Tuesday, November 17, 2009
Not true.it's not SDB who brought back Lata-Rafi, it's Jaikishan (of S-J) in "Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein", a shelved film, and unfortunately the song is also unreleased.

atulmina on Friday, February 12, 2010
SD was really great and so Rafi and Lata. Excellent song.

vaadaenmacchi on Sunday, February 14, 2010
SD knew exactly when to use rafi and kishore for dev anand. no other hero has had both those singers sing with so much success. take raj kapoor - it was always mukesh. for dilip it was always rafi, and so it was for shammi kapoor.

I will talk only for Lata. Her voice is so clear, heart touching. She lives in her melodies. I can not say a word for S D Burman. He was a Giant. Woh to Bangali aur Hindi music Ka Devta tha.

sachin dada the king of duets, rafisaab and latadidi, sweet and divine, dashing devsaab, ripe vyjyantimala, and great picturisation by goldie saab, they dont produce it anymore

For such lovely song, why such a hideous sari?

joshuadiesel on Sunday, June 27, 2010
@AnwarFan lovelysong i just love it but im sorry to say that you are a little bit mistaken because they didn't kiss and make up they only got back to sing together in personal terms they didn't get along rafi could not forget the scene she put during the recording of tasveer teri dil mein movie:maya in 1963 when salil chaudry took side with lata and rafi felt belittled and another thing the great nargis was also to b credited in the effort of having both legends coming back to sing together

59coolangel on Tuesday, July 06, 2010
very sweet duet by the great legends.

Whenever I think, this is the highest peak of hindi melody, but soon I discover one after another peak of melody are there which not only hard to compare but also not fair to compare, they are just like endless wave of sea, hard to determine the greatest one. When some greatness and simplicity come along together then u find this such of genius creation. What a marvelous, heart touching, simple and evergreen expression!

Easily among the most classiest duets sung ever in the history of hindi cinema :)
Sublime singing by both Lataji and Rafi who were singing together after a gap of few years due to some personal differences. Brilliant picturization on Dev Anand and Vaijayantimala..This song easily touches our hearts for both its simplicity and its class!
