I like both Kishore & Rafi. But to me Rafi is more versatile than Kishore.
The comparison seems to me like Lata & Asha. If you listen to Young Lata
you will learn that She is more versatile than Asha. Such is the case with
Rafi & Kishore. At the last stage of their career Asha & Kishore get
florished & become aggressive. That's why anybody dare to compare Lata with
Asha & Rafi with Kishore. Actually every artiste has different style and we
should be honest in our expression.

you don't know what you are talking about. rafi was an original and the
most versatile male singer in hfm. also, i'm not sure but i think this song
was recorded months before the rk - kk wave kicked in. kk was rk's best
voice because kk made rk different. all the other heroes had been under
rafi for many years. it's human nature to want a change after so long and
rk-kk was that change. rafi was supreme and sang this song in his unique
style that no singer could copy.

Dear Augustin, Indubitably RAFI is greatest play back singer but Rajesh
Khanna action does NOT reach the PEAK or intensity that RAFI expounds in
the song, Voice of KK and Rajesh combination is simply superb, tragedy is
that Mohammed Rafi song is independently listened has mesmerizing effect
than picturized on Rajesh, It would have been super duper visual effect if
picturized on Dharmendra, Rajendra kumar, Shammi kapoor or any one except
Rajesh

No worries, sir. Rafi was a great singer no doubt, but somehow his style
never clicked with the superstars rk and ab. The other day I was listening
to a sashi kapoor number 'bekhudi mein sanam', again I found Rafi's voice
trying to resemble Kishoreda.. I think Kishoreda made Rafi insecure.. and
hence just to stay in the race, Rafi tried mimicing Kishoreda's voice to
some extent, something that Kishoreda never tried to (I mean mimic Rafi).
