soulful rendition by hemant da of a poetry which is heartwrenching and harsh reality of life. i remember when i watched the movie on doordarshan in my childhood when old movies were shown i cried watching this song. one of my fav songs and fav movie. these kind of things have become obsolete now . todays bollywood proves it is GHOR KALYUG . MISSING THE GOLDEN ERA OF MELODY gone forever

As per Ghazal King Mehdi Hussan the greatest voice ever from this
subcontinent is of Hemant Kumar's. I had the same feelings from my
childhood. A voice of God...such matchless depth and sophistication - that
was Hemant Kumar. Here he sings his own composition in this film "Anupama",
1966.
