is CRYSTAL. His songs were as clear as Crystal. In musical terms, if you
noticed closely, all his great melodies were without any MURKIYAAN. All his
songs are hummable, full of melody and very simple. It's a tragedy that
these songs never had a Dilip, Dev or Raj in the foreground which could
have made them legendary songs. But these songs will and will always remain
close to the heart of a genuine music lover. For Mahendra Kapoor,
personally I would place him after Rafi Sahab and Manna Dey in the list of
Bolly singers, talent, range and melody of voice wise.
