There are many Trivia's associated with this movie.
1. Doli Saja Ke Rakna was a remake of super duper Hit Malayalam movie and
which was later remade in Tamil. Thus, making Doli Saja Ke Rakna the third
version of the same film.
2. Can you believe Doli Saja Ke Rakna was directed by the famous comedy
movies Director Priyadarshan. Actually, some of the earliest Hindi films
made by Priyadarshan were of Action and Romance genre. But all of them
flopped at box office including Doli Saja Ke Rakna forcing him to do comedy
movies and rest is history.
3. Actress Jyothika made her debut in films through this Priyadarshan movie
in Bollywood. Unfortunately this movie bombed and her Bollywood career got
stuck forcing her to move to South. It proved to be a blessing in disguise
for her as she went onto become a leading actress in Tamil movies.
4. Actress Jyothika is the sister of Actress Nagma who too was a top
actress in Tamil and Telugu during 90s and in Bhojpuri movies in 2000s.
Though daughters of the same mother, there fathers were different.
5. This song was sung by National Award winning Malayalam singer M.G.
Sreekumar. MG has sung very few handful of Hindi songs and most of them
were in Priyadarshan's movies. MG was a childhood friend of Priyadarshan
and was the singer of many hit songs in Priyadarshan's Malayalam movies.
Jiya Jale song from Dil Se was a big hit song of Lata Mangeshkar but not
many know that the Malayalam portions of Jiya Jale was sung by MG Sreekumar.
6. The music used for this song was composed by the great AR Rahman and he
later on reused this same music for a Tamil song Kadhal Kaditham.
7. While both the original Malayalam movie named Aniyathi Pravu and the
Tamil remake Kadhalukku Mariyathai were box office super hits and run for
weeks making them high grossing movies of those years, Doli Saja Ke Rakna
was a complete failure at the box office.
