Madhubala's smile alone would captivate anyone's heart! I saw film Mahal (Ashok kumar -Madhubala starer) so many times just for Madhubala! she was rightly called the Venus of the Indian screen.

Prior to the song there are a couple of dialogues which empowers to those who believe in love. She was so simple and naive. Her innocent way of asking Dilip Kumar "konsi do kothhrian" makes people stimulate. Love is a most beautifull thing. Its a subtle feelings. One can not create it. It happens accidently. And when the lovers get united they are in heaven on earth. Romance is in our nature. Because the soul is full of love and purity.God love us and He demands the same among us(22nd Dec.2010)

Thank you , sohihs ,for your comments. The acting of MADHUBALA is superb. Before the song starts , conversation between Dilip & Madhubala is so cute. And then the giggle of Madhubala--My GOD --this giggle is wonderful & lovely.The whole movie scene is thoroughly romantic. I never get tired of watching this again & again. And you know ,this is why I have made this comment -- " If this romantic movie scene & song fail to send a romantic thrill in someone , nothing else will " Wish you well

Oh,yes.THE ONE and THE ONLY ONE MADHUBALA. I have seen so many actresses on the silver screen. I have seen so many beautiful women in real life. But nobody is like MADHUBALA. I hardly knew anything about MADHUBALA till about 1 year ago---I knew her name only, had never seen her on the silver screen. It is ming-boggling for me that someone ,just on the silver screen,gone for 40 years,can look so breath-taking & captivating to the 'camera' of my eye. Never ever expected could happen this.

This duet song is marvellous indeed ----and the whole movie scene, along with the power of words /music , makes it all thoroughly romantic. I don't think that I have ever seen such a sperb romantic scene on the screen before. This is only for 5 to 6 minutes ----but these 5 to 6 minutes evoke intense romantic thrill.
Romantic moments in life are so thrilling & beautiful-------- but, unfortunately ,are usually short-lived-------- BUT--- these moments are real & marvellous indeed.
