Before today, before tomorrow,
No struggle, nor a means to borrow.
What was then? A single fruit,
Forbidden to taste, the divine pursuit.
They warned them all, with solemn decree,
Adam and Eve in Eden, lived free.
Their hearts, they yearned, for the forbidden treat,
They plucked the fruit, their fate to meet.
A fire then surged, a serpent's guise,
Within their souls, a wicked prize.
The act they swore they would never do,
Adam and Eve, the story rings true.
Creation's wrath, a furious storm,
Their crime condemned, their bodies torn.
From Eden's grace, they were cast away,
From paradise, they could no longer stay.
Descending now, their fall unfurled,
The fruit descended, into the world.
The ages wept, the fruit remained,
Its silent promise, forever chained.
