this song is hardly heard on the radio although the music and the urdu poetry are extraordinary . ramesh deo is the one who is miming this song whose wife seema deo ia also an actress who played the part of the younger daughter in law in the movie ''bhabhi ki chudiyaan '' . the real life husband wife pair acted together in some movies like anand in the seventies .

I am enchanted with Urdu poetry but it is too late to grasp and learn. This also reminds me another great Urdu poem of Majrooh (which you appreciated in my channel) "jaag dil-e-diiwaanaa.." in Oonche Log rendered by Rafi Sahab.
I know about Ramesh Deo and Seema - leading Marathi stars, but scarcely seen on the screen. Thanks.

A nice song that I hadn't heard before. With your recent uploads of
Rafi-songs, COS, I assume you have already started your tribute to the
great singer as his birth anniversary is fast approaching. And yes, besides
the song itself, Shashi-Nanda pair is always nice to see together
on-screen. They acted in several films as the leading pair and had great
on-screen chemistry. Haven't seen this film, however, the song implies this
film was a tragedy. Thanks for uploading this less-heard Rafi song with
preceding sweet dialogue, COS.
