Krishna, Krishna, the flute did play,
In Madhuban, hearts in disarray.
Eyes like a river, wild and free,
Each lane did whisper, "He is he!"
A spell descended on Vrindavan's heart,
As the flute's sweet song tore worlds apart.
Leaving the bed, a gopi's dance began,
Forgetting all, embracing love's plan.
Krishna in Madhuban.
A maiden sat, adorning her face,
But the flute's call stole her grace.
Bracelets on feet, anklets in hand,
One eye without kohl, a broken command.
Her body forgotten, her senses gone,
How did you bewitch her?

One ran past her husband, traditions astray,
Another spilled water at the well's way.
Friends lost all shame, a dance they did weave,

Radha, the city's jewel, towards the Dancer did turn,
