A masterpiece by Javed Akhtar, RD and KK! It reminds me of a famous old
nazm of the same mood - ai-gham-e dil kya karoon, which was the creation of
greats like Majaz (lyrics), Sardar Malik (music) and Talat Mahmood (voice.)
Like this one, that nazm, too, was used in a movie (Thokar, 1953.) There is
one more connection between these two gems - Majaz was Javed Akhtar's real
maternal uncle!

This is a brilliant nazm by Javed Akhtar, composed beautifully by RD Burman
and rendered masterfully by Kishore Kumar. This reminds me of an equally
brilliant nazm of the same mood "ai gham-e-dil kya karun" by Majaz that was
composed by Sardar Malik and sung by Talat Mahmood for a movie called
"Thokar." Incidentally, Majaz was Javed Akhtar's maternal uncle!

OMG! What a song! One can feel the soul of Kishoreda with how much deep
feelings and emotions he sang this song. And his voice was magical. A

Nusrat Fateh Ali sung this song too! I searched fo Nisrat's Version but i
got it. Its awesome! I am in a difficulty that who is better? Nusrat or
Kishore?
