Lyrics of Likhungi Mahabharat Naya - लिखूंगी महाभारत नया
duryodhan dussasan ke pap
aur niti bhare raj me
likhungi mahabharat naya
rakt bhare aansuo se aaj main
chir haran ka maan bhang ka
ma ki vedna bhare
chitkar ka, chitkar ka
ma ka tan chir ke janme
ma ki god me soye
ma ki boli pe bole
ma ke hi pyar ko roye
tumne hi ma ke stan pe
shishu mukh ki mohar lagayi
ma ke is tan me tumahare liye
mamta ki nadi lahrayi
lekin tumne bachpan ka
sara itihas bhulaya
palte rahe jis aanchal me
us aanchal ko sarkaya
shre ka apmaan karke kiya
apmaan ma ke hi pyar ka
likhungi mabharat naya
rakt bhare aansuo se aaj main
chir haran ka maan bhang ka
ma ki vedna bhare
chitkar ka, chitkar ka
ma hone ki bhavna
rakhna hi pap ho gaya
stri ke liye sara jivan
kaise ek shrap ho gaya
nari ne har roop me apna
sab kuch tum pe wara
lekin grahsti ki vastu samajh kar
tumne use nihara
mat samjho ise marm sthan
ye hai tumahara janm sthan
manavta ka puny sthan
tum bhasna me huye aise andhe
ma ko bhi loot liya hai
tum wo pashu ho jisne humari
sanskriti ka nash kiya hai
papi ho tu durachari ho tum
papi ho tum vybhchari ho tum
kahte ho apne ko manav ho tum
manav ke roop me danav ho tum
prano ke bhay se kayar purush ki
jibbha to khulti nahi hai
ma bahan patni ki lazza bacha le
ab isme shakti nahi hai
kahna hai ye mujhe nari samaj se
ma banne ka svapn dekhe na aaj se
duryodhan dussasan hi janm lenge
khelenge jo wo bahno ki laaz se
yun bhrath yuva pidhiya to
manav samaj ka kya hoga
kya hoga sabhyta ka kya hoga
is bharat ka kya hoga
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Likhungi Mahabharat Naya
Duryodhana, Dushasana's sins,
In a kingdom steeped in deceit,
I shall pen a new Mahabharata,
With tears of blood, I shall meet.
Of Draupadi's disrobing, honor's fall,
A mother's anguish, a mournful call,
A cry, a cry.
Born of a mother's cleaved womb,
Slept in her lap, her softest bloom,
Spoke her tongue, her love embraced,
Upon her breast, your infant face,
You sealed the bond, a tender sign,
Her maternal river, yours to enshrine,
But you forgot childhood's grace,
The nurturing veil, you defaced,
Shamefully dishonoring a mother's love,
I shall pen a new Mahabharata,
With tears of blood, I shall meet.
Of Draupadi's disrobing, honor's fall,
A mother's anguish, a mournful call,
A cry, a cry.
The very thought of motherhood,
Became a sin, misunderstood,
For woman, a life a curse defined,
In every form, her all you mined,
Yet, as a household, a simple thing,
You gazed on her, the pain she'd bring,
Do not mistake it for a site of shame,
This, your birthplace, the sacred flame,
The blessed land of humanity's gleam,
You are blinded by passions that seem,
To have plundered even mothers' grace,
You are beasts who desecrate,
Our culture's heart, a shattered state,
Sinners, villains, of a wicked fate,
Sinners, debauchers, sealed by hate,
You claim to be human, with a form so grave,
Demons in the guise of men, you crave.
From fear of life, the cowardly tongue,
Is silent, its verses unsung,
No power to shield, to save, to defend,
Mother, sister, wife, their honor to lend.
I say this to women, heed my plea,
Do not dream of motherhood, free,
For Duryodhanas and Dushasanas rise,
Who will play with sisters' guise.
If youth is corrupted, if hearts turn cold,
What of humanity, stories untold?
What of civilization, its shining light?
What of this India, lost in the night?
