Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Jana Gana Mana (Dr. Balamuralikrishna)
O, Thou, the Architect of Destiny, Hail!
Thou art the sovereign, India’s fate revealed.
From Punjab's fields to Sindh's ancient tale,
Gujarat's pride, Maharashtra's shield.
From Dravidian shores to Utkal's emerald green,
Bengal's heart, a tapestry of old.
The Vindhya's peaks, the Himalayas convene,
Where Jamuna flows, and Ganga's story told.
The ocean's roar, a surge of vibrant might,
Awakened by Thy sacred, blessed Name.
We seek Thy grace, bathed in Thy radiant light,
And sing Thy praise, a burning, joyful flame.
O, Thou, the Giver of auspicious grace,
Thou art the sovereign, India's destiny.
Victory to Thee, in every time and place,
Victory, Victory, forever free!
