@lzb3232..whilst during a live Radio interview at the BBC ASIAN RADIO in Birmingham-in 1999 with Mehdi Hassan khan Sahib and myself..a question was put to me by a caller on AIR."Although Mehdi hassan sahib is sat next to you..but..who is your favourite singer?
I looked at Mehdi Hassan Sahib..and I replied to the lady caller"-Madam-you have put me in a spot-but
Mehdi Hassan is my mentor-and a University-but my" weak PULSE"- IS MOHD RAFI SAHIB!
The Radio presenter was shocked at my replies!.

voice changing ability of Rafi Saab. It was Shammi Kapoor who was
Khushnasib to get such an excellent playback singer to uplift his acting
Career as 90% of expressions were given by Rafi Saab. Film"Parasmani" was
smash hit due to Rafi Saab's major role behind the screen by giving his
voice to Hero/actor Mahipal. I keep listening to this song again & again ,

Rafi . How can I appreciate the greatness of the singer? as I have no words
