Lyrics of Ho Jamuna Kinare Jhilmil Kare Taare - हों जमुना किनारे झिलमिल करे तारे
ho jamuna kinare
jamuna kinare jhilmil kare tare
jaha bansuri bazaye yashoda ka ladka
jise sun sun radha ji ka dil dhadka
ho jamuna kinare
pavo me panjaniya pahan chori chori
ghar se chali re dekho radhe gori gori
kadmo ke niche
kadmo ke niche aayi ghunghat ko khinche
jaha bansuri bazaye yashoda ka ladka
jise sun sun radha ji ka dil dhadka
ho jamuna kinare
natkhat tha bada knahaiya pakdi radha ki baiya
are radha ji ka naram karjva nache ta ta thaiya
ek taraf gvalan gaiya ek taraf tha knahaiya
ankhiyo se ankhiya takrai
to bahne lagi purwaiya lo prit gagariya chhalki
mathe se chunariya dhalki
jaha bansuri bazaye yashoda ka ladka
jise sun sun radha ji ka dil dhadka
ho jamuna kinare
radha mohan ke madhur milan ki faza
dekh kar uthi gagan me ghata
pawan ko hata megh jo fata
barasne laga re musaldhar
gokul bhiga gokul bhiga madhuban bhiga
bhige kishan murar
bhig gayi re kuvar radhika
bhiga unka pyar panchhi bhor ko pukare
panchhi bhor ko pukare khule nain gatnare
jaha bansuri bazaye yashoda ka ladka
jise sun sun radha ji ka dil dhadka
ho jamuna kinare
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Ho Jamuna Kinare Jhilmil Kare Taare
Upon Jamuna's shore,
stars shimmer, a celestial lore.
Where Krishna played his flute's sweet plea,
Yashoda's son, for all to see.
Hearing it, Radha's heart would leap,
upon Jamuna's shore, so deep.
Anklets chime, a stolen grace,
Radha, fair, from her hidden place.
Softly she treads,
Her veil drawn low, her heart now led.
Where Krishna played his flute's sweet plea,
Hearing it, Radha's heart would flee,
upon Jamuna's shore, so free.
A rogue was he, this Krishna bold,
Radha's hand, his story told.
Her soft heart danced, in joyous sway,
While cowherds watched, and cows did play.
Eyes met, a gaze, a tender spark,
East wind blew, in the gathering dark.
Love's vessel spilled, a fragrant stream,
As her veil fell, a whispered dream.
Where Krishna played his flute's sweet plea,
Hearing it, Radha's heart would be,
upon Jamuna's shore, so glee.
Radha, Mohan's sweet embrace,
The heavens wept, in that sacred space.
Wind withdrawn, the clouds did part,
Rain descended, a cleansing art.
Gokul soaked, and Madhuban too,
Krishna bathed, in skies of blue.
Radha wet, her love laid bare,
Their love, like morning air.
Birds awoke, the dawn did call,
Eyes now opened, embracing all.
Where Krishna played his flute's sweet plea,
Hearing it, Radha's heart would agree,
upon Jamuna's shore, eternally.
