The lion of roar, on the field he fell,
That king of Chittor, his bravado quelled.
The lion fell, at battle's end.
At the news, the women converged as one,
Where pyres awaited, their burning begun.
Padmini spoke, "Let us seek a new home,
Where our loves await, no longer to roam.
Through Jauhar's flames, we'll meet them again,
As embers ascend, to heavens to reign."
