Absolutely Suman Kalyanpur and Mukesh! I'm amazed at the number of times
her songs are ascribed to Lata or someone else. She is a great singer, and
her oeuvre is witness to that. I agree with qualquan -- credit where credit

orchestration of this song is superb. song of banarasi thug composed by
iqbal quereshi and sung by mukesh and lata for vijaya chaudhari and
manojkumar. all songs of the film were hit.

Folks, the female singer in this song is Suman Kalyanpur and NOT Usha
Mangeshkar as some of you wrongly seem to think.

commend Vijaya for her superb romantic acting.

Usha Mangeshkar was most under utilized talent. She was given chance with Mukesh by genius Iqbal Qureshi. These songs are all time gems.
