I meet Mehdi Hassan there,
And listen to his voice,

The ghazal sits, trembling.
The ghazal's lips quiver,
Yet, those eyes, unchanged,
Forever speak the same tongue,
Even when he whispers,
"The flowers have withered in the books,
And the beloved Faraz is gone."
