Lyrics of Aa Teree Tasvir Bana Lu (2) - आ तेरी तस्वीर बना लूँ
aa teri tasveer bana lu
mai apni taqdeer bana lu
dil ke kore kagaj par
ulfat ki lakir bana lu
aa teri tasveer bana lu
mai apni taqdeer bana lu, aa
bas isi tarah tum hansti raho
sharmati raho, bas hansti raho
bas isi tarah tum hansti raho
sharmati raho, bas hansti raho
bas isi tarah yu aankho se
tum nayi ada dikhlati raho
dekh tumhari pyari jhanki
mai bigdi taqdeer bana lu
aa teri tasveer bana lu
mai apni taqdeer bana lu, aa
masti me jhume teri ada
kuch apna pata
na ho dil ka pata
masti me jhume teri ada
kuch apna pata
na ho dil ka pata
main tab tak hosh me, aa na saku
jab tak na milega, man se hawa
dil tere hatho me dekar
dil ka daman rangin bana lu
aa teri tasveer bana lu
mai apni taqdeer bana lu
dil ke kore kagaj par
ulfat ki lakir bana lu
aa teri tasveer bana lu
mai apni taqdeer bana lu, aa
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Aa Teree Tasvir Bana Lu (2)
Let me sculpt your image,
Shape my own fate, a vibrant page.
On the heart's blank parchment,
Love's enduring lines I'll engage.
Let me sculpt your image,
Shape my own fate, come.
Just like this, may you smile,
Blushing, ever smiling, a while.
Just like this, from your eyes,
New graces, in subtle style.
Gazing on your lovely vision,
My broken fate I'll reconcile.
Let me sculpt your image,
Shape my own fate, come.
In revelry, your charm shall sway,
Lost to self, come what may.
In revelry, your charm shall sway,
Lost to self, come what may.
I'll find no sense, I cannot waken,
Till your breath and my soul play.
Entrusting my heart to your care,
My heart's garment with colours I'll array.
Let me sculpt your image,
Shape my own fate.
On the heart's blank parchment,
Love's enduring lines I'll portray.
Let me sculpt your image,
Shape my own fate, come.

nickkohri on Thursday, July 30, 2009 This is the 78 rpm recording. It is entirely different from the soundtrack recording. The musical arrangements, lyric stanzas and singing styles differ greatly from each other in the two versions. They are almost like two different songs.
Chandrashekhar Gupta on Wednesday, February 01, 2012 Talat Mehmood on Dev Anand, with Madhubala in the frame, in Naadaan (1951).
P L Santoshi's composition tuned by Chic Chocolate (real name: A.X. Vaz).
The sad and slower version of this number was uploaded on 01 July 2009 by
mushmax.
Chandrashekhar Gupta on Tuesday, April 07, 2009 Music director of this 1951 movie is Chitalkar ("C.") Ramchandra. His nick
name was "Anna", not "Chic Chocolate" as mentioned under "Information".
Shrikant Talageri on Tuesday, April 07, 2009 A beautiful song, and thanks for uploading it. I didn't know it was by a
music director with such a hilarious pseudonym.
