this is sooooo romantic - no one is like this anymore!

shirinjaan on Sunday, May 20, 2007
yes, that was the age of innocent romance. almost platonic and
sweet.nowadays it is vulgarism which makes the box office ting.

politicalgirl786 on Sunday, May 20, 2007
...which is why i hardly bother with the new movies...you probably get a real classic for every hundred films...

shirinjaan on Sunday, May 20, 2007
the same here.once you have experienced the golden years of bollywood, its
hard to compromise.

politicalgirl786 on Monday, May 21, 2007
have you seen the remake of Don? i havent, but from what i hear they slaughtered a classic!!! Amitabh back in the day was my fav...although i must admit, John Abraham is sooooo cute!

shirinjaan on Tuesday, May 22, 2007
I did not bother to see because I knew the end result. Classics cannot be
improved upon. I dont know when the bollywood industry is going to get the
point.Original story and acting make a movie to become a classic. Amitabh
was and always will be my fav too.

Gives a new meaning to "Singing in the rain" - Gr8 song by Lata ji.

shirinjaan on Saturday, June 23, 2007
Thanks to the music director and the nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar.
I am happy this song brings joy to many.

meamgadhu on Tuesday, June 26, 2007
waahwaahwaah, wonderful. Dil khush ho gaya. I was feeling nostalgic and
looking for monsoon videos and landed up here..wonderful song. Though
its good u don't watcj too many movies now, because Amitabh would not have
remained ur favorite anymore if you saw any of his latest movies...By the
way, I saw the new Don and its not bad, it should be seen as a different
movie without comparing to original Don.

It's not very gentlemanlike to walk so fast with this long legs - the woman
has to jump and run again and again.

panchamam on Monday, August 06, 2007
Count on Pancham, Kishore & Lata anytime, any mood. Thanks for sharing.

shirinjaan on Friday, November 09, 2007
you are welcome.

man from philly on Tuesday, November 13, 2007
i'll admit - i've never even been to bombay. but you guys do realize that
they probably cleared the sidewalks for the filming of this song? if anyone
has seen the AWFUL movie "vanilla sky" with tom cruise (just youtube it)
you see cruise walking in time square - ALONE.

man from philly on Tuesday, November 13, 2007
bombay was ALWAYS crowded they just had this for a movie set.
btw...kishore's version was better lol. lata's was cute though.

vinitsankhe on Friday, December 07, 2007

doctormadix on Friday, January 11, 2008
What A romantic touch to a beautifly sung song by Lata

shirinjaan on Friday, January 11, 2008
Hi, I grew up in mumbai and it was in fact less crowded and nice to walk
around. specialy if the shoot was on a sunday , they dont have to empty the
streets.

rintu1967 on Friday, January 11, 2008
Basically a tribute to the lovers of Mumbai who survive and enjoy Mumbai despite odds!

lotusmed on Saturday, March 22, 2008
moushumi is so natural in this song. Every man's dream for a perfect date in monsoon rain.

shirinjaan on Tuesday, April 01, 2008
the hindi music industry like the movie industry has become too much money
oriented and less devoted to art. nowadays songs are composed in half an
hour and recorded in 15 minutes, thats why they last for a day.lol. those
golden days are gone forever, except when AR.Rehman comes up with something
special once in a while.

puneetknp on Wednesday, April 09, 2008
No. The best song would be tip tip barsa paani, paani ne aag lagai. All
those hip gyrations and stuff, that has to be the best. Thank you.

Li Jav on Wednesday, April 09, 2008
Yep that all we guys want..hip gyrations and big booties..forget the rest.
Maybe a sultry dance..but Alka's voice doesnt compare to her idol Lata.

puneetknp on Friday, April 11, 2008
love moushumi. Always have.

musicparast on Sunday, April 13, 2008
the pair is totally mesmerizing! I mean this less heard Lata solo and the
famously popular Kishore solo.. can't call one better over the other.

ronniegoogle on Monday, April 14, 2008
such innocence in the voice and the cinematography/acting gels so
well..where have those wonderful years of Indian cinema vanished?. The
Kishore version is nice as well...Well said musicparast...totally agree
with you..it is hard to decide which is better...

ronniegoogle on Monday, April 14, 2008
Forgot to thank Shirinjaan! Thanks for posting such a beautiful gem... best
