What an amazing album! Amit Trivedi never dissapoints!!!

Simon Thomas on Friday, April 24, 2015
This soundtrack is very evocative and artistically appealing, as an Indian
take on a declining 20th century American genre of music. Its fascinating
to listen to the talented Mr. Trivedi's spin on this genre.

But it's too niche, too foreign, too different, too mild to match the
colorful romantic highs that the blockbuster musical pageantry such as
mainstream Bollywood fare innately requires.

Considering Kashyap was trying to make a well-crafted but mainstream flick
maybe he ought to have gone for a more mainstream soundtrack.

vatsalmodi96 on Friday, April 24, 2015
Amit Trivedi has done it again.. Like woww.. Each song is better than the
other.. Jazz element is so nicely used in every song.. Trully Amit T is the
change that Bollywood Music needed.. Looks like he's gonna sweep away all
the awards this year as well after Queen...

it! <3

Siddhivinayakcrane Service on Saturday, April 25, 2015
nice album all time music.

Cationna on Saturday, April 25, 2015
Absolutely fantastic album! Though it's probably the instrumentals -
especially "The BV Theme" - that show off Amit Trivedi's brilliance best,
all the songs are great pieces. My favourite is probably "Ka Kha Gha". I
fell in love with Neeti Mohan's voice (not that other singers are any less
good; e.g. Shefali Alvares has this harsh quality that makes her sound
sassy and jazzy - to sum up, they are all matched up to the songs musically
and substantially very well). And I even for the first time see sense in
including a remix on an official tracklist.

ruheebal on Saturday, April 25, 2015
No Fifi?

Akeira on Saturday, April 25, 2015

This conspiracy theme is haunting #bombayvelvet

Aswad Ali on Sunday, April 26, 2015
Surely Amit Trivedi has crossed the limits and he has given the pure jazz
music in this album. I really love his effort and i realy like the theme
song and every other track on the list and those people who are against
this album i think they are still not ready to accept the change we need to
uplift ourself and open our mind in broader aspect to enjoy this album!

Aragonda Jyosna on Sunday, April 26, 2015
Awesome Awesome Awesome..

Dileep Champaneria on Monday, April 27, 2015
Very different and for a change sweet jazzy tunes ..excellent job Amit
Trivedi. The movie should be very good and should take us to a different
era. Anurag Kashyap is a very good director and would not sacrifice quality
and content . everybody has been dressed authentically and money is not an
issue to such a huge production.

Vinod Menon on Monday, April 27, 2015
Definitely not the typical Bollywood album. Of course that's what we expect
when Amit Trivedi and Anurag Kashyap join hands. Wonderful jazz and oldtime
club feeling. And those profound Lyrics of Amitabh Bhattacharya . Loved
Behroopia, Mohabbat Buri Bimari (esp remix version by Mikey McCleary) and
The Bombay Velvet Theme.

Shivani Patel on Monday, April 27, 2015
I'll be honest... I didn't like the song, Fifi and Mohabbat Buri Bimari, at
first. But then I kept listening to it and I eventually started to fall in
love with it. I understand true Jazz music now. I wasn't a big fan of Jazz
but now I understand it and totally love it! This album is fantastic!
Amazing job Amit Trivedi! But I love Neeti Mohan's tracks the most. I love
her voice!

Notme Yuku on Wednesday, April 29, 2015
the beauty of jazz is u never get bored of the same song playing over and
over it only becomes more melodious to ur ears. this is an excellent album.
so proud that bollywood if finally producing music and movies as such.
Let's go #BombayVelvet

M. Mumta on Wednesday, April 29, 2015
The best album of 2015 so far.

Sumit Pandey on Wednesday, April 29, 2015
Anurag Kashyap is one man who doesn't care about the masses. He doesn't
serve mediocrity. He'll take chances but won't compromise with quality. He
sticked to the Jazz Genre of the 60s when he could have told Amit Trivedi
to make a few songs that appeal to the masses. #Respect
And who better than Amit Trivedi to serve the purpose. Wonderful playlist.
Strictly for pure music lovers.

This is either going to be a GREAT movie, a cult classic OR a failed
attempt. Regardless, Anurag Kashyap has to be appreciated for the positive
change he wants to bring in this Bollywood Culture.
