Thanks for the upload Yuan Ji. It is considerable years since I heard this
song. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it again!! Thanks also for the
descriptive details about both Rafi and Durrani Ji's. Regards.

- You are most welcome, my dear friend.
Frankly, though I have heard this song before, I have never heard the name of Mr.G.M. Durrani.
When I read his biography in Wikipedia, I was fascinated and felt sad about his plight, he being such a good singer.
With regard to the descriptive details, actually I have done that with all the videos I posted, as a kind of respect to the song as well as to all the related artists, living and those who are no more with us.
Thank you and take care.

- You are most welcome my dear friend and thank YOU for the most important detail, the full name of the singer, Ghulam Mohammad (GM) Durrani.
Even Wikipedia has not given the full name and I just included that in the description section.
Thanks again and take care.

Hello Yuan. Per Lata, this was the last song G.M. Durrani sang. Lata never liked GM because he tried to flirt with her when recording her first song for Naushad "Chhorey ki zaat badi bewafa" from film Chandni Raat in 1948. She even complained to Naushad who told her "Beti this is the world we live in.You get along with all sorts of people". But on the other hand, Naushad threatened GM that if he ever repeated such an act, he won't give him anymore songs.

Dear Yuanyuan... Your knowledge of old Hindi music is admirable. I must
tell you that I am the grandson of Mr. G. M. Durrani (Ghulam Mustafa
Durrani). I am based in Toronto, Canada and would be grateful if you can
help me in procuring collection of his complete works. It is our family
legacy but no one before me had the passion to take this initiative. Please
help me achieve my goal. Thanks- Salman

- OMG, what to say? I am honoured, my dear friend.
To be addressed by the Grand Son of a Legend, Late Mr. G. M. Durrani!
I will send you a message with regard to your requirement.

By the way, I have posted another song of your Grand Father, under the title of "Lata & Rafi & G.M. Durrani - Lara Lappa Lara Lappa - Ek Thi Ladki [1949]"
Take care and may God bless you.

It is amazing to see something first time on internet about GMD. I never heard any song of him. I met him in Bombay during 79-80 when he was diagnosed with throat cancer and was having difficulty speaking as there was a hole in his throat for some reason I don't remember but he had a keen desire to live; not after very long I heard of his passing away.
He told me good things about his hey days and about other top singers of present time once used to sing behind him.
