This music leaves me speechless and so does present music (but of course, for all the wrong reasons).

In my primary school, every Saturday there was a singing session and a boy
used to sing this song. But I got to see the visuals today only. Thank you
Yuan.

I am very interested to know the english translation of this song. Can somebody help me?

hillsnew on Thursday, February 26, 2009
yes the english translation is God.You are the ocean of love , we are thirsty for just one drop of your blessings,

cricketlover1117 on Sunday, March 01, 2009
i agree. i think manna dey is in a league of his own when it comes to vocal control and classical singing. the closest to him in that department was probably rafi sahab, and today suresh wadekar.

chetan3290 on Sunday, March 08, 2009
old is gold----very nice soul touching song/bhajan. no sound mixing like contemporary songs, very basic instruments used and has created such a nice number----Uncomparable, Very Good

yuanyuanyuanyin on Friday, March 13, 2009
Thanks for the nice comment. I have already posted many songs of Manna Dey. Hope you will like those.

russelindia on Sunday, March 29, 2009
U think that Rafi had no ease while singing.man If u knew what music is u would never had said so.Listen to O duniya ke rakhwale.and u will know why Rafi is unique...

rahdisas on Monday, March 30, 2009
No I never said Rafi had no ease while singing.

I'm just saying Manna Dey made it look easier than Rafi did - and I stand by that. Of course, I've listened to O duniya ke rakhwale - and Rafi is definitely unique - but I still see the effort he put in to control his voice at those high pitches.

Manna Dey makes it look effortless - hey it's just my opinion - and before you accuse me, I'm not his fan.

In fact, I can probably count on my fingers how many songs of Manna Dey I consider great.

russelindia on Monday, March 30, 2009
I am sorry brother if I offended u in any way but I cant accept that manna dey was better than Rafi...I say that because rafi is considered to be best by most...and then as far as controll is concerned I feel that he had that...yes maybe in this song manna dey has gone beyond his own best and sung really with superb controll.I accept that but I was saying that Rafi is overall the BEST

MohammedZayid on Thursday, April 02, 2009
can sm1 plz translate the whole song for me?thx.

p3sto on Saturday, April 04, 2009
I disagree.
Both Rafi and Dey are great but in their own unique special way.
I dont think you can compare them both as they are equally as good.

ssnival on Saturday, April 11, 2009
I am die hard Rafi Fan (i listen mostly to Rafi Songs) but i would say Rafi is the best Playback singer whereas Manna Dey is the best singer. Manna Dey could have sing whatever Rafi sang but this not true otherwise. Eg Rafi sang almost all the songs in Baiju Bawra for Bharat Bhushan but when it came to competion between Baiju Bawra and Tansen its was Manna Dey who sang against Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. Anyone who can sing that can easily sing O Diniya ke Rakwale.

Lets not compare 2 great angels..whose voice hold carisma in everyones heart..

Every song is difficult ; its just that for some one is tough and for others some other. Raffi ji and Manna ji were classical singers of their time .One of the best INDIA has ever produced

You are a sea of love. (She) thirsts for a drop (of love) (She) want to
give back what you have given (She) want to leave this world.

pravchaw on Saturday, July 04, 2009
Her wounded mind is like a frantic caged bird yearning to fly Her wings are
delicate, her eyes misty, but she has to fly across the ocean Only you can
reason with her because we have lost our way with her While here life sings
sweetly, death is standing there Who knows what are limits, it is a puzzle
Please say it softly, from which direction should (she) come (to you).

MrSmile71 on Saturday, July 04, 2009
