Untarnished and shining even now

H Parikh on Wednesday, June 05, 2013
See this is where talat won..'sab kuchh luta ke' sung by both talat and
lata.. talat's pain was natural lata's professilnal..

Durgamaaji on Sunday, June 09, 2013
Lata ji is simply outstanding; whereas in Talat ji's version his voice
breaks, he stains with the notes and has poor breath control as compared to
the queen of melody Lata ji. We are in deed very fortunate as a nation to
have Lata ji amidst us!

super super super in this hot age it is possible,do not upset.

surinder50 on Sunday, June 30, 2013
It is refreshing to note that at last some else has noted that Lata ji has
exceptionally deep breath...she outsang her co-singers in all duets when it
came to singing several lines in one breath...when others broke breath .

Fahad Imran on Thursday, July 04, 2013
I will vote for Talat, he wins in putting emotions in the words where Lata
lacks in.

Santosh Srivastava on Sunday, August 04, 2013
One of my Favorite songs.what are the words,-"Ek bewafa say pyar ka anjaam
to miley."

Madhava Murthy on Monday, August 05, 2013
I do not agree with what Durgamaaji has to say about Talatji. The song was
required to be sung in that way only . Talat has done to the song what lata
has done to her version

Surinderji, With due respect to The great Lataji..there was a singer called
Mohammad Rafi..who always gave competiton to Lataji. Even Lataji used to
tell her secreatary before a recording with Rafi that "aaj competition
hai". You can listen to songs like "ehsaan tera hoga mujh par, where in
antara..Lataji was not very comfortable with high octave notes...but for
Rafi it was a cakewalk.

Shailesh Jha on Saturday, September 07, 2013
there are songs like "Rang aur noor ki baraat" "teri aankhon ke siwa" (list
is endless) where most of the people do not know that the same song was
sung by Lataji also..because Rafi version is so popular...i do not agree
with you surinderji...

Shailesh Jha on Saturday, September 07, 2013
amazing song.

Shailesh Jha on Saturday, September 07, 2013
I strongly agree with you with due respect to Lataji. Both songs are
greatly sung and you can not compare...

sab kuch luta ke hosh mein honey sweet song goma pk karman jolly

Syed Zaidi on Thursday, February 27, 2014
Too shrill for my ears. Talat's rendition did justice to the pathos and
emotions in the lyrics.

chand tripuraneni on Thursday, May 15, 2014
Both versions re great, but I would like to question the people who were
voting for Talat sahibs version to think about how he would sound if he was
to go to the pitch Lataji had to?

Gopal Nair on Friday, June 13, 2014
Lata Manna Rafi Mukesh .each is a class by him/herself.

Syed Zaidi on Monday, June 16, 2014
At such high pitch Talat Saheb would have also sounded shrill. Some lyrics,
such as in this song, are best expressed in softer, more melancholy style.

On another note, it is easier for the vocal chords to stretch and produce
sustained notes in high octave. It is more challenging to produce
consistent notes in lower octave. That is why all singers, as they grow old
tend to resort to higher notes, thereby compromising the sweetness and
pathos in their voice. LATA, RAFI, MUKESH, KISHORE, SHAMSHAD, NOORJEHAN,
ASHA, and other lesser singers all fell prey to this phenomena. You can
compare their earlier recordings to the ones from their later years and
notice the difference.

This is my humble opinion.

Reincarnation on Wednesday, July 02, 2014
it surely sounds shrill when our female singers of such 'soprano' voice
sing in such high notes; singers of a husky voice will sound very
different. it is up to the m.d. to be cautious about this. talat's is not
only a male but also a 'bass' voice, so there isn't any comparison. but
it's true that very high notes sustained for long in a bareeq voice can
cause discomfort!

JAGDISH GUPTA on Monday, August 04, 2014
Beautifully written Lyrics equally beautifully sung by Lata ...Both have
done full justice to their professions..

beautiful song again. Certainly the is exceptional and unforgettable song
of all times. The song is also holding very charming and very lovely
lyrics. Thank you very much for amazing and RARE upload.

Bhargava Ram on Tuesday, March 31, 2015
Can you find some other singer who could be excelsior than Lataji' singing
quality ? . Never . Talat saheb has sung the same song that would pierce
through the pericardium and get into the heart. Lataji has sung reaching
its highest octave which could not have been possible to Talat saheb.
