Everything about this classic. The video, music, Kishore Kumar, even the
quick scene with Vinod Khanna shaking his head while watching Amitabh
Bachan riding his motorcycle

What Abhishek Bachchan has done is that he imitated his dad's stunts in
both the Dhooms-Dhoom 1 & Dhoom 2 especially the standing on bike motion

Such deep philosophy is hidden in this very simple song...Amazing..I wonder
what has happened to song writers now . Why do we get just a handful of
listenable ( not necessarily good ) songs each year?

tariqbakhtiar on Friday, April 13, 2012

This was my guy, the South Asian superman, when I was a kid. Man, he still
commands respect.

Rajah Siddhartha on Sunday, May 06, 2012
The actual song promotes a blend of stoic philosophy and epicurianism:
Everyone is born into this world crying and it is better to go out laughing
in the face of adversity. It sounds insane, but the idea is we can control
only our feelings and behavior, everything else, line death, is beyond our
control. A man who conquers himself, is a true king.

skn123 on Wednesday, May 09, 2012
Doug! That is an amazing translation. However, I dunno where you got the
word : Insane?

bjornsiborgsi on Thursday, May 31, 2012
hey good of you to recognize this fact. i grew up with kk and amitabh when they were on top of the world. i also suggest "pal pal dil ke paas", "badi sooni sooni hai", "hum bewafaa", "jaane kya sochkar nahi guzra", "dil aesa kisine mera toda", etc, all kishore kumar songs of the 70s. also see kk in concert singing "khilte hain gul yahan", amazing performance and quality. let me know how you liked them.
