You're right brother. Bombay was quite a place back in the 70s. It was a
metropolis open for all Indians irrespective of their state. But then the
Shiv Sainiks spread their poison...

Dilip Karandikar on Saturday, June 08, 2013
what a song ! Bombay was very quite at 70 s and up to 75

Bostonite1985 on Sunday, June 23, 2013
Ramya is a female name. Why are you calling her brother? You can't even
tell the difference between male and female Indian names and you are
commenting about Shiv Sainiks. Let the Sainiks say what they want to say.
Freedom of expression for everyone.

wakai jab koi nahi hota hai na tabhi uski yaad aati hai.. mein bhi har par
har waqt uske har choti choti si baat yaad karta rahta hoon... sahi mein ye
gana kabhi bhi purana nahi hoga..

Yes, you are right to an extent. Its pleasure to watch his films of 70s and
80s. Films of Amol, Farooq, Sanjeev, some of Amitabh, Sanjeev are the ones
through which middle class connected themselves. Yes its true that the
Bombay of those films is quite nostalgic. Have a look at Rim Jhim Gire
Saawan if you havn't yet. I believe you enjoy watching it. I saw Amol's
approach recently which is quite in contrast to his earlier films. Thanks

Great song. But the picturization is mediocre and unimaginative.

I think it is Salil Chowdhury composed songs

Saikat Das on Wednesday, April 23, 2014
So simple are the lyrics, yet so soul touching song this was the beauty of
the songs of those bygone eras, rarely found nowadays. Today's hindi film
songs have become so sophisticated, tech savvy but have really lost their
soul in the process. That is why Old is always Gold.
