After reading some of the comments and present state of India, it seems a volcanic eruption resulting in blood bath is on its way. Seeing all this I think time has come for true Indians to stay united and those who are not, to let cut loose from Indian Union. I as an Indian is fed up with this leg pulling contest going on among indians. Wake up Indians either lets make India a force to reckon with or go our separate ways once and for all

Yesudas was inspired by Rafi saab..He grew up listening to Rafi saabs songs. He himself agrees this.. Both are equally great... Why compare one legend with another legend? (now others plz dont attack me with fanatic replies!..for ur information I too am a malayali and a Dassettan fan)

Celiabphilips on Friday, January 15, 2010
Rafi learnt classical music from maestros Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Abdul Wahid Khan, Pandit Jiwanlal Matto and Firoze Nizami.

And more over...especially in those days, you couldnt become a playback singer if you arent classically trained.maybe except Kishore Kumar..I dnt know whether he was classically trained

I m sorry for the multiple posts cz I was exceedin the word count...

Celiabphilips on Friday, January 15, 2010
Yes its true..and especially Yesudas needs to be greatly appreciated. He made great efforts to learn Hindi even after he became a well-known Malayalam playback singer. So,

Yesudas = talent+hardwork.

Sumisha Akbar on Friday, January 15, 2010
Indeed... Hats off to Yesudas inspite of all the ridicule against him...

Florence Nadiadra on Sunday, February 07, 2010
Yesudasji, your voice really tells the language like you are a Das of Yesu.
So beautiful voice. Like to sing along, all the songs. Hats Off Yesudasji.
With great Respect

Florence Nadiadra on Thursday, February 18, 2010
Dear friend, you can go to website KJ Yesudas, and check the background. Why
he was given name Yesu and all you will get to know, he was born in a
Catholic family. But I love and respect Kishorekumar too, he is not
Christian. I just gave description of his name. That's all.

Music and song is like as though a white dressed naayika is dancing in
front of a naayak, in their lamp lit dance hall, perhaps in some
mythological times, mysterious yet pleasing and lovingly sung.

Zafar Amar on Saturday, May 01, 2010
Yesudas a unforgettable singer. He always keep in our heart and we remember
him forever.

Hemalatha was a good singer, mainly heard in Ravindra Jain's songs. somehow she could not play the bollywood game to come to the top. She gives good match to Yesudoss in this song.

Arun Mohan on Thursday, May 27, 2010
what a great voice...perfect...

Abhilash Nambiar on Sunday, May 30, 2010

A child tagging alone changes the movie from a romance to wholesome family
entertainment. So simple.

As sweet as nectar ! Simply Divine.

paatchu on Thursday, June 17, 2010
Yesudas is still here...Bollywood politics kept him away from Hindi
films... He sang 1000's songs in south indian films... But sang one Hindi
song for .AR Rehman in "Daud"...oh bhav-re.. Yesudas was a friend of
Rehman's father Late RK Shekhar

Pradeep Shinde on Tuesday, June 29, 2010
Yesudas.peerless!

Very beautiful and sweet voice. All time favourite.

A melodious song by Dasettan in Kalyaani raagam..

malangi13 on Saturday, September 04, 2010
Yasuda ?? Who is he? Never heard of him. If you compare a fledgling to a Rustam you dont harm the Rustam, you degrade your fledgling still more-- my 2 cents.

nimmipournami on Saturday, September 04, 2010
A nice song By dasettan in Kalyani ragam..

@malangi13 - If u dnt know Yesudas, u dnt knw Indian music. He hails from
Kerala, has been singing from the early 1960s and is still going strong. He
sang a lot of Hindi songs in the late 70s and 80s, including this beautiful
song and a national award winning song in the same movie 'Chitchor'. He is
considered by music experts as one of the best ever playback singers in the
Indian film fraternity. He has won more national awards(7 nos)than any
other singer in India till date. Dude, ggle fr mre.

No wonder Ravindra Jain said that Yesudas' face was the first he wanted to
see if he ever received his vision...such a divine voice...

@malangi13 : Hi bro, he didnt sung much songs in Hindi, probably thats the
reason, you dont know him. One thing i can he is a great singer.

malangi13 on Sunday, September 19, 2010
@hariks007 I am not saying that he isnt good. In fact he is extremely melodious. I am only saying we regret we didnt know him. He obviously has a sweet voice.

Harikrishnan Nair on Tuesday, September 21, 2010
@malangi13 : Hi bro, i didnt mean you are saying anything wrong about him,
Most of his songs were in Malayalam. If he sung a good number of songs in
bollywood probably you might be knowing him, thats what i said

i just listened to this song in a lazy afternoon beside my window looking
at the trees and a clear sky. I almost cried.

Based on range you can argue..or even tell Rafisaab is a better singer than Yesuudasji, .but you have to accept one unarguable fact that the one and only mortal with such a "melodious and perfect sound" who ever walked on this earth is Yesudasji.yes Yesudasji only...!!!

cant belive this voice is from a human being..!!

aakash28deep on Friday, November 19, 2010
a great movie and a great song. beyond imagination of any human being.
calm ness is at paramount, the feeling of diwali and festivities come through all walls of noise. truly a song to be listen in pure silence or full noise to get a bit peace.

Anil N on Sunday, December 05, 2010
@jithinae Your comment is very interesting. I am an atheist. But the only
thing that makes me think that god probably exists is "Yesudas's voice and
singing abilities" !

I love the cute little master Raju Shrevaastav..he was sooooo innocent and
cute...it feels sad that he did not made any impact when he grew up

Kay Cee on Monday, January 17, 2011
Yesudas's voice is so soothing! Serene music and picturesque background
nearly act as a lullaby! In the aftermath, a silence, a peace dawns
stealthily, unknowingly when the song finishes. Very enjoyable, worth a
million thanks.

@kchopra4080able Yes, haunting voice of Yesudas, and melody is so soothing. Love your choice Kanwal jee. Thanks for passing it my way .

jasbongy on Tuesday, January 18, 2011
@kchopra4080able Beautiful duet sung so well by Yasudas Ji and Hemlata Ji
in their unique, melodious voice. Zarina looks so simple but very
impressive. Thanks Kanwal Ji for sharing. With respect. Sarla.
