timeless by Khursheed Bano. A later version by Nayyara Noor is also very
melodious, but the KB rendition stands in a class by itself. You gave a
nice secular interpretation of the love theme focused on Madhubala and DK,
but the verse is originally both secular and spiritual in its message; it

Very beautiful song with touching,soulfil lyrics. Khurshid Begum sings
brilliantlly and touches the heart. I have heard this song first time by
Nayyra Noor ji on ''cheecheepia '' channel by Khalid VBhai.and that moment
i became fan of Nayyra ji. Then heard in melodious voice of D.K. Sharma ji
''kuckudk.'' And now presented briliantlly by myvision ji. I am very happy

Thank you Mukhtar bhai for creating this difficult video,upon my persistent
request and dedicating it especially to my father Narinder Sain, who was a
great fan of Khursheed. I have been watching the comments by so many
viewers constantly, and I am delighted to that this video has been well
received by all the viewers. It is all due to the imaginative craftsmanship
of Mukhtar ji. . My father stayed in Digamber Jain hostel while at Govt
College Lahore early 40s. Does this hostel still exists?

@imadbhai1234 Excuse me sir, name of the singer is Khursheed Begum, or
Khurshid begum/ Kuurshid Bano and also known as Irshad Begum. I have never
heard she been called as Tani Khursheed ! Perhaps she was named 'Tani' in
film Tansen This song is from film Bhagat Soor Dass, though spelled
differently at different places. Songs by her in film Tansen were also
good. Please do correct me if I am wrong. Pl. see the video link given

unlike any other. She had great range and showed her high notes whenever

Dear Mukhtar Sahib, This song brings back the memory of my late father who
owned a record store and whenever possible used to encourage us to listen
to classics. Now he is gone and I am missing him more than words can
express. To me these songs are a connection to those times when life was
simpler, people were loving, respect for teachers and elders were the norm
and passionate love for God and all his creation was the order of the day.
