Khuld literally means eternity, refers to paradise that Adam had to leave in despair, Ghalib here says that "have heard of the departure of Adam from the paradise, but that's nothing compared to the embarrassment that I faced when I was forced to leave your(my beloved) surroundings".

I remember as a teenager wen i wud tell my sweet heart how much i loved jagjeet singh he wud tell me how boring i cud b at times..but then wen i met him after a decade i was shocked at how much 'he' was into jagjeet singh's gazals...while he just smiled and said '' thats another habit i picked after u left''.
