constantly on the receiving end of blatant racism from North Indians in
India, and seem to have subscribed to the "if you can't beat em join em"
philosophy as a means of survival. I agree the N word concept also applies,
but in this case, the blacks are South Indians in particular, not Indians
in general. Ergo, WE can call ourselves Madrasi, North Indians can't and,
more importantly, shouldn't.
