I too would like to get some news on Shakeela. She may not have been a
dazzling beauty like Meena Kumari, Nutan, Madhubala, and Waheeda Rehman but
she had a charm all her own.She could carry Western costumes with aplomb.
Only she and Madhubala could. Some years ago, I read a sad bit of news:
Shakeela's daughter committed suicide in Mumbai by leaping out of her flat
in a multi storeyed building.

What has ever happened to Shakila - is she still alive ? She did work with
some of the top male star of her generation and then just disappeared.
Would love to know more about this beautiful actress. Pramok@gmail.com

Rumahaleji, watch another song from 'Guest House', "Jiska joota usika sar,
dil hai chotte bada shahar, arrey vah re vahre teri Bambayi.." by Mukesh.
Shakeela has worn a skirt and a blouse and she appears so natural in
them.

Thank you dear friend. I searched and found it too. It is good and funny.
Vah re teri Bambai! This type of fashion was readily brought to our area
(being those from Bombay Presidency; and, now Bombay Karnataka Area).

I am glad that you have rightly appreciated the role of a lyricist; I have
always held that the lyrics are basis of songs; I too like the writings of
Prem Dhawan and Rajendra Krishna. Thank you for liking and brilliant
comments.

Thank you so much for loading nice nice song, could you please upload movie
too

rumahale on Friday, September 27, 2013
Thank you for liking and appreciation; uploading movie is more time
consuming, and, hence I have not tried. Some of the reputed companies are
uploading the movies regularly.

Very melodious song. In all such songs the stars appearing in the song such
be credited in addition to name of director, music director, lyric, year of
release etc.

The lyrics and music composition, voice of singer all are excellent
but.. in such songs where Hero is shown to be
playing music on Piano is making different movements like scratching the
keys. Is it that the choriographers were ignorant of how to play music on
Piano OR they were more concentrating on Heroien. There is one more
possibility that picturisation of song was considered most boring job and
was entrusted to a jack of all trades who will make shooting as per his
whims. Regarding my earlier comment asking names of actors appearing in the
various songs and I also remember Shri Isac Mujawar who was editor of
marathi magazine "Rasrang" was able to give correct information on such
enquiries. He was encyclopedia of Indian Filmography. Kudoes to him.

the success she merited...
